It hurts to see the general population being this stupid.
And that's why alphas are exclusive
Introversion did the same exact thing with Prison Architect, albeit much cheaper. Their prices are tied to the kickstarter so it is understandable.
I won't be getting this after they ran SMNC into the ground.
Guys.
This was a Kickstarter game - one of the tiers was $90 and you got Alpha Access, they are trying not to cheat out the people who funded the game at the start. It'll be $30 or something at release.
buying a product and investing in a product are two different things
buying a product and investing in a product are two different things
Don't buy it then??????
Alpha was set at $90 at the Kickstarter phase, it still is, there is no problem here. Wait until release for the proper price to BUY it, you can also buy it at the real price on the Ubernet site right now if you have such a problem with the Alpha price.
Everyone is getting mad it's $90 because of all the other dumbass devs that have made open alpha and beta stages lose their meaning as "developement stages with a large userbase of feedback-providing testers" and become more "build hype" stages
What the fuck, you don't even get the exclusive bonuses that the kickstarter backers got.
Yes you do.
craptasket actually bought this everyone laugh at him
Mike is an idiot
Paid with FP money.
Whats the last time you paid $90 for a non limited edition game.
you don't get it, this is the kickstart high tier reward. They really shouldn't have done this because it'll cause confusion
The Steam userbase isn't smart enough to read the Dev explanation for the price on the game page.

honestly no mass group ever will read something like that, it's just how having an audience of mass quantities is.
more expansive then your call of duty game... pathetic.
After seeing the price, for a second I thought it was NZ/Australia getting fucked over once again (It's tradition) but then I saw the expanation.

Except, you don't get a single kickstarter bonus. Other than playing the game. You got a bunch of shit for donating $90.
This is so dumb.
Why would anyone expect to get alpha access to a game for cheaper than the people who helped fund development?
Yeah but on the flip side, how many people are going to know that they have it at $90 so not to undermine those who pledged money on kickstarter way back
Apparently, Metacritic thinks reviewing an alpha makes sense. http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/planetary-annihilation
this makes my fucking head hurt
[editline]14th June 2013[/editline]
I don't get it. if you don't want to pay $90 don't fucking buy it yet wait till it's closer to release
Paid with FP money.
how many titles linking to furry porn were made so you could have this game
it's blood money craptasket
So many idiots who say 'omg 90 euro for alpha omg rip off'.
Not really talking about here in special but everwhere.
Jesus christ, if they put it cheaper people would go like 'omg fucking assholes fucked up kickstarter people'....
wallet annihilation
Except, you don't get a single kickstarter bonus. Other than playing the game. You got a bunch of shit for donating $90.
You can still get it on the Uber site at least.
Reading the community hub makes me want to stab somebody
They shouldn't have put it on steam - the people that really care about the game (esp kickstarters) know what's going on via the newsletters they send out.
