only play with Steam friends, community problem solved
think about it, who wants to spend an hour conversing with, communicating with, and coordinating with completely random people you never met in your life? Sounds like Chatroulette, aka a bad idea.
Playing only with Steam friends makes it like Skype instead
To be fair, if you get pissed off at a random guy you probably won't see him again.
But playing with your friends can make you hate eachother for a bit if it goes wrong. In my experience, anyway.
I didn't sign up for a Disney World game.
If I get pissed off and some retarded asshole is ruining the game on purpose or not and I say, Jeez you suck, after he totally messed up something, I could get banned for that.
Dota 2 is alot more mature in the fact that people don't get teared up over a little comment/a moment of anger, where LoL is like a kiddy fanbase.
If he's ruining the game on purpose, ignore and report him.
In my experience, Dota 2 is exactly the same, and people get even angrier because the game is harder (even more so in the original Dota).

practice makes perfect
I would say CS, LoL, and COD have the highest percentage of either trash talkers, elitist fucktards, or just downright immature man babies. And yes there are obviously mature people who play those games and actually have class, but the toxic part of the community is more prevalent than any other game I have seen.
Heck, it's one reason I play comp TF2. Hardly anyone trash talks in the competitive scene (maybe a handful of people which is nothing), and pugging is really fun (if you do bad, no one really freaks out, they either are chill or they tell you it in a respectful way).
It's great that dickheads are getting banned, but I think they focus way more on punishing toxic players compared to encouraging people to use the "Ignore" function. If someone is pissing you off, you put them on mute. It's the fucking internet. Ever since they went crazy with the ban hammer, all people do in LoL matches is cry "omg report report" and shit-talk goes on until the game ends, usually resulting in the raging team losing. The toxic players go and fuck up more games until they get banned, which usually takes a few days with the tribunal. Putting toxic players on ignore will literally make you play better, a lot of people don't realize this.
