According to the wiki they all work tho.
For PCSX2 Ratchet and Clank games have constant artifacts and glitches.
Okay maybe I exaggerated when I said unplayable but this is what you have to deal with if you want decent frames because software mode is too slow on the average CPU.
One of my favorite games of all time. I barely play them, but I always have the newest generation of console just in case one of these gems comes around and doesn't make it to PC.
People are going to see the bugs and say it's shit, but they don't consider the huge leap that is from nothing at all and consensual impossibility we had like a year ago.
still less of a mess than sonic o6
we were all PC-based and had it running for win32 clients for the entire development
That honestly changes almost nothing. The entire game was built around for controller input and console enviroment. They would still have to do some major rehauling in order to port the game to pc because a game built around a console, pcs used to develop it or not, will not work well at all on a desktop environment. It's not as simple as rebinding button mapping to a keyboard. and don't even get me started on optimization, that alone would be a massive ordeal in and of it's self. Oh and then there's the multiplayer aspect which on a framework level would never almost an entire redoing. So let me repeat myself: The game would need to undergo serious engineering and recoding to such an extent that no triple a developer would bother to funnel money into a five year old sandbox game especially after having just released the best selling game and sandbox game of all time on the pc just a few months ago and are still actively developing new content. It'd take away resources from a massive money making flagship all for the sake to cater to a decently niche market. Remember rockstar stated originally they had no plans for pc release of gta due to a lacking market. They were proved wrong, but this is a game that's already 5 years old and most who really wanted to play it already played it leaving a small market share of those who only didnt play it due to it only being a console. Rockstar focuses on making money and they're damn good at keeping a profit, with a rerelease of this game it'd cost them millions and it'd cut back on active development of their flagship series. If they announced a rerelease of a 5 year old game while taking part of their flagship team, stockholders would flip fucking shit and rockstar would back out. Face it. RDR On pc is a dream and it's going to stay a dream. I'd love a pc release of it myself, but that's straight up not happening and would have happened by now. Were 5 years in and the games only becoming less relevant to those who didn't play it further dwindling rockstars incentive to make a pc release.
One of the best games I ever played.
still less of a mess than sonic o6
They tried Sonic 06, and it loaded faster than the original...
Rockstar never did HD remasters of their games. Unless we'll see mobile port in 5 years maybe.
They did a remaster of Bully on the pc.
Yeah but it's unplayable on 7, and 10. I think Vista as well.
Even if it's a shit sub par port like GTA4 I'd still take it. I just want RDR on my PC :(
Some games just flat out don't play for me. By some magic MGS3 runs really well though.
I managed to play through MGS2 and a bit of MGS3 on emulator. I was determined to be ready for TPP. [editline]30th September 2015[/editline] Basically set it to use DX11 and it runs so much better.
Yeah but it's unplayable on 7, and 10. I think Vista as well.
No it isn't. I beat it on Windows 7.
Some games just flat out don't play for me. By some magic MGS3 runs really well though.
It's a collection of specific hacks to ensure the game at least renders somewhat correctly. The PS2 is pretty weird to emulate in the first place, MGS 3 in particular is a bigger pain in the ass as it does some really weird shit to get the quality it has on the PS2. Most emulation on PCSX2 is a generic platform with a few bits and pieces slapped in to get must play games working decently.
