We have enough drug and crimelord, super realism edgy nonsense. I am sure GTAV will be fun, I am excited to play it as long as it comes to PC, but SRIV just seems really fun. People that complain about how it used to be interesting because it was about street life and gangs, well you have plenty of games about that, go play them. Now it is actually about something interesting, even if it is way over the top.
Embrace the silliness. Plus, why would they try to make a game similar to GTA when the titan that is the fifth game is releasing eventually, it would be sent out to die if they did that. They are completely different game series now, get over it.

The moment that Volition decided that they didn't want Saints Row to be Grand theft Auto anymore was the best moment for the franchise as a whole. That's why I'm glad it went this direction. Because frankly if they kept carrying on like they did in Saints Row 1 the franchise would have stagnated and died. Saints Row 1 was just a really bad game in my opinion.

Johnny was pretty whiney and childish in SR1. Most of his golden moments are all from 2.
SR1 had some pretty cool stuff though. The world felt dynamic in a few more ways and honestly I thought it looked better than SR2.
