LED laptops are great because you'll actually notice it outside of not being able to see pixels on the desktop since there's nothing that runs at that resolution anyway.
Also, I believe that Apple has the best touchpads. At least they're the only ones I could use - and to my knowledge the only ones that don't have dedicated spots for left and right click. Also, they at least can put their touchpads in the middle, unlike some other companies:
Gotta admit that is going to be a sexy screen.

And bickering about a off center touchpad seems OCD to me. Also dat sexy Thinkpad :fap:
For that money it BETTER have a retina display. It better make my coffee in the morning and jerk me off, too.
tell me where i can buy a laptop with a screen better than that [editline]12th June 2012[/editline] or you could buy nothing and donate everything to doctors without whatever etc
Depends on what you consider a better screen. Keep in mind that the only thing they barely win at is pixel density. That says nothing about colour retention, contrast scale, response time and a massive slew of other things. Honestly, the only thing we know about is pixel density.
I actually hate that there's no dedicated buttons for left and right. And bickering about a off center touchpad seems OCD to me.
You've never worked with a laptop that has its touchpad off center right? Because it feels incredibly awkward and stupid.
For the price you can ALWAYS, ALWAYS, buy something better whether it be a Zune or a i7 laptop. This is not a matter of opinion.
Zunes fucking suck nuts compared to any of the iDevices. Yeah go buy some shit plastic Alienware with a plastic screen and horrible plastic touchpad that runs for 10 minutes before running out of battery because it's 2x graphics cardz!!!1 draw so much. Apple won't miss you. Also if you actually looked for yourself instead of being a fucking bandwagon kid, you'd realize that the OS optimization that Apple do for the hardware they choose, give much higher performance in software that is designed specifically to run on the OS they have made, rather than just doling out software to anyone who wants it to install on any hardware they choose (leading to no guaranteed performance, driver issues, and a bloated OS). And that's why CERN use Mac Pro's
You've never worked with a laptop that has its touchpad off center right? Because it feels incredibly awkward and stupid.
I have an X220T which is pretty much your 2nd picture and I have had no problems with it and I didn't even notice until you mentioned it and I measured it with my hands.
who the fuck needs that kinda resolution god damn are you people sitting three inches from your monitors or something Also, nvidia, burning your lap jokes, etc.
At least the 650M isn't trailing miles behind the other cards. I got a notebook with the 260M when it was new and at the time the ($1,000 more) Macbook's gfx solution was a joke.
...buy something better whether it be a Zune...
huh? http://www.neowin.net/news/zune-player-officially-discontinued
You've never worked with a laptop that has its touchpad off center right? Because it feels incredibly awkward and stupid.
It's off center on my HP DV7-4032eo and I don't see the problem with it being off center. And my old Zepto Znote had a centered touchpad. The soft buttons for the HP's touchpad on the other hand makes my piss boil at a temperature hotter than the core of the sun though. And that's just the laptops I personally own, not factoring in every other laptops I've used. I want my fucking tactile feedback, and I don't want the surface of the buttons to do anything.
You know, HP laptops have had the retina display for quite a while now.. i thought facepunch was smarter than this
They didn't add Thunderbolt or USB 3.0 to the Mac Pro. What the fuck?
Honestly this seems just like another laptop to me, high resolution does not always mean it is a good screen.
They didn't add Thunderbolt or USB 3.0 to the Mac Pro. What the fuck?
Desktops are apparently getting their own refresh sometime next year.
You know, HP laptops have had the retina display for quite a while now.. i thought facepunch was smarter than this
show us then
I'd buy a 17" version with Retina. The price is worth it for the display, atleast to me. I'm a graphics whore as any of you know.
I'd buy a 17" version with Retina. The price is worth it for the display, atleast to me. I'm a graphics whore as any of you know.
You should wait for the 27" Retina Display ACD.
You should wait for the 27" Retina Display ACD.
My wallet just shrieked at the idea of how much it would cost.
The 15 inch one is more than powerful enough, and 15 inches is not really that much smaller than 17 inches. And does it really matter with a resolution of one bajillion by a bajillion?
.

And I had used a 14" laptop for almost 2 years before and small screen size was a constant annoyance to me. Got now a 17,3" cheap bastard.
http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/11/3078783/apple-quietly-discontinues-the-17-inch-macbook-pro
It'll be back. They probably don't have it because they don't have 17" Retina displays. They'll probably bring it back once they get Retina equipped iMacs and ACDs out.

Apple wanted to be first out of the gate with a screen of that resolution and they figured 15.4" was a good mix of size, price, and showoffyness.
and my Windows PC is still 210% cheaper and way more powerful
nobody gives a fuck how cheap your PC is. if they drop in price I'll probably get this. [editline]12th June 2012[/editline] the 13' ones actually got cheaper, thats nice. I won't need a CD drive either
