counter-strike: global offensive
Just because it wasn't sold here, doesn't mean it was banned. You could use the exact same rhetoric to say why Mother 3 wasn't released here, and it'd make just as much sense.
I didn't say it was banned. It just would've been a bad idea to release it here considering its nationalist themes.
I think China made a wrong decision. It's 2014, globalization effect every country(well except north korea). Games, Tv shows,Movies, Books, arts etc. are only "fiction." And by banning those fiction, you create taboo among your people. I am not saying that we should always see usa and uk as allies, and middleastern countries, china, russia, germany as enemies. But the million dolar game companies and film studios are mostly american or british, so they always gave fiction from their side.
If China want to do something right, then they should start investing in games, movies etc. I know usa love giving stories about "russia, nazis, china, communists attack usa and usa strikes back and defeat enemies", but I don't think usa government would give a shit if opposite happened.
Yeah, I hate usa propaganda, but they have much freedom about these things than any other countries.
Remember when red alert 2 was recalled after 9/11?
