Those viewmodel hands look so detached from the character. I can only imagine the character sliding around in an idle pose.
I think I've seen it in other games too. Is it supposed to be a tribute to older firstperson rpg games?

It looks like it would be more fun with a good melee system like DM but they did a great job of making magic attacks look like fun to use. I just looks a bit weird seeing the character get slashed and having nothing happen but a game like this would be a pain in the ass if spellcasting kept being interrupted and the player kept getting stunlocked

And I'm more of a melee guy myself.
The combat looks pretty shit, where he would dash up to someone's face and then just wait until he could cast a spell.
