...if they had made it about twice as thick, given it a headphone jack, some physical buttons, and a user removable battery, I'd probably be all over it.
If they had basically made it not-an-iPhone, you'd have bought it. I think you should be looking at Android phones, you're obviously not Apple's target audience here
It's actually really funny because even though after all these years they finally are implementing quick charging, it won't come with a quick charger out of the box. Stay classy apple.
It's also glass on two sides
How about my Note 4 then? It's got a plastic back with fake leather on it.
Being able to bend is due to the interior btw. Doesn't make a that much of a difference if you're got glass, aluminum, metal, or plastic.

They dumped that with what, the iPhone 6?
Not trying to defend Apple or making phones so thin the camera protrudes, but don't people normally just use a case, so this isn't a problem? I wouldn't dare use my phone without a phone case, I drop it way too many times
To be fair, some people take off their case indoors, which is when you'd be lying it on table. Can't really say the protruding camera has caused me any issues with that, though
I never use a case any more, I've dropped phones hundreds of times and never broken them, so I've stopped using cases since the added bulk annoys me too damn much. You can't get good small phones any more, so having to lug around a big dumb one plus a big dumb case is just awful.
I think using a case is just subjective to your needs, like being in a active work environment where you may need a rugged case and screen protector. I use a Zero Lemon 10k mAh battery for my Note 4 and am completely used to the added weight and dimensions already. In fact, "normal" phone sizes feel almost too small at this point. And given that this case is subpar for water protection, it's gone through lots of rain with no problem. But hey, it's whatever works for you. And I don't believe it's worth arguing case vs no case when it's entirely up to individual need.
