Anybody have any ideas on how much the full version will cost?
$8.88
I was terrified when [sp]the voting button didn't work and the room was all red[/sp] :tinfoil:.
I think I broke it. When you enter the room that [sp]Goes dark[/sp] I slipped out of the door and was stuck at the [sp]Starting area[/sp]
Waited 20 minutes, nothing happened. 0/10 would buy.
I wonder if this game is going to start off as the same in the original game. That would be pretty cool
"THINK ABOUT MISTAKES" I think I damaged my spleen laughing so hard
$8.88
I wouldn't be surprised. In other news, this demo is perhaps one of the greatest moments I've ever experienced. All it took was the first minute of that demo to instantly convince me to buy the full game.
[sp]what happens if you try to leave the waiting room early? i'm too afraid to find out[/sp]
[sp]what happens if you try to leave the waiting room early? i'm too afraid to find out[/sp]
[sp]Nothing, I did it on my first playthrough[/sp]
[sp]he literally does not even acknowledge you came in before your turn[/sp]
The point of the waiting room isn't to be a choice. Its to get you to realize you're waiting for your number to be called in an empty waiting room in a video game for no good reason.
Spent like 3/4 the time looking for fun ways to defy the narrator so the game would play out a bit differently, but I guess I expected too much from a demo, so since I was looking for the entirely wrong thing, I just kinda came out of it with a "meh". They did certainly craft a decent parody of demos/showrooms and illusion of choice, tho the latter has become pretty common since the mod and I think there's better ones out there. The "demo recipe" on one on the crates was kinda funny. Just not my kinda humor I guess, tho I liked the original mod's creepy bits, so I'll still be looking into the full game. Eventually.
this was a stupid waste of time. it wasn't funny or smart. satirizing video games in a bad and lifeless video game is not an achievement. walking around with a voice over barely just even qualifies as a video game. its feels on par with a valve developer commentary map [editline]12th October 2013[/editline] walk in area - trigger voice over it's not exciting, and that's all there is
once again rusty proves that he is physically incapable of enjoying things
once again rusty proves that he is physically incapable of enjoying things
how can i enjoy this when there's almost no content in it to enjoy? set pieces and audio triggers is a scam of a video game [editline]12th October 2013[/editline] you know what I really liked? I liked bioshock infinite. because it had a very good and interesting story that kept me interested until the very end, paired with incredibly fun gameplay. effort went into it and it was beautifully crafted. and this has literally nothing of that. not one single thing. the story is one big 'meta' joke on the player, the joke being that you paid money for this, to have a voice over tell you to do a thing that amounts to no more effort than pressing W

WHAT A SCAM!
Interesting dialog, a new idea, fantastic humor, non-standard gameplay and a soon to come non-linear adventure with fantastic narraration and concept? WHAT A SCAM!
the dialogue isn't interesting and all of it is just a buffer for what amounts to nothing a meta examination of things is hardly a new idea it wasn't funny and hahhaha non-standard gameplay, you mean the one where you can walk and occasionally push a big button? it's not like non-linear is a new concept either and the only thing this has going for it is the expensive narrator and it's a shame nothing he's actually saying is interesting or funny [editline]12th October 2013[/editline] cool off your indie-game boner and see the complete bullshit you're being spoonfed

Oh no!
once again rusty proves that he is physically incapable of enjoying things
hes got a different opinion, you're overreacting.
People like something I don't! [editline]12th October 2013[/editline] but this is just being an asshole
just calling it exactly like it is. they shouldn't be able to get away with selling this without some people calling it out

I know perfectly well what I'm being "spoon-fed", and I like it, which is my own personal opinion. Indie-game or not, I'd still like the game because I enjoy it's content, not because it's not a triple A, gameplay focused mainstream game. I enjoy the humor, the game-style and the dialog, but I can see why this might not be every one elses cup of tea, but I do not get why you think this game is a scam. People make games for pthers to enjoy. Others are enjoying the game. When they buy the game, they will enjoy it. Thus it fufils it's purpose, not being scam.
idiots pay money to go see and enjoy the hangover and transformers, that doesn't make it any good or acceptable entertainment
idiots pay money to go see and enjoy the hangover and transformers, that doesn't make it any good or acceptable entertainment
it does to them, and even though you may not like it, it's not completely unreasonable to accept other people can enjoy a game (i actually agree with you though, I'm sick of these tongue-in-cheek indie games that vomit jokes and other stuff at you)
idiots pay money to go see and enjoy the hangover and transformers, that doesn't make it any good or acceptable entertainment
But it doesn't make it a scam either. People enjoy different things man, that's a fact of life. If you don't enjoy a thing, that doesn't make it "Terrible", it just means you don't like it. There is a difference. Plus, I enjoyed the hangover, but did not enjoy the tranformers movies at all. But if someone else does or does not, then that is fine as well, because it's an opinion.
it's a scam when you're paying for a game that is filled entirely with lifeless set pieces with little to no interaction that consists of a little invisible line that when stepped over triggers a voice over. you are literally playing something with less developmental input than a valve developer commentary level. and you're paying money for that.
idiots pay money to go see and enjoy the hangover and transformers, that doesn't make it any good or acceptable entertainment
Well, if they were greatly entertained by The Hangover or Transformers, then it most certainly did come off as entertainment acceptable to them.
