DICE ask: what should we balance in Battlefield 4 next?

I can't speak for anyone by myself and the people I play with but as far as technical issues the game has genuinely been completely fixed. We can play several hours a night and not suffer a single crash or server disconnect. There is the occasional wonky hit detection failure but you have that in most shooters made these days. Also for some reason the game seems to have been made with only SSD's in mind. Everyone I know with a standard 7200rpm hard drive takes forever to load. It's not a persistent issue though.
I feel like people were all too eager to listen to early adopters who said that the game was broken but refuse to actually believe that DICE busted ass and fixed most of the issues, atleast for most people.

Actual on topic though, the fact that people want to buff Fast Attack Boats is fucking horrifying.
nerf AA
why would they ask the player base when the overwhelming majority is not even nearly competent enough to discuss balance
I'm glad I didn't actually buy BF4 when I was going to. Sounds like a fucking trainwreck. There are still plenty of issues with BF3 too, but at least it's not broken.
I managed to get it for $19, and I still think I over paid
Please publish an official Frostbite SDK, DICE. Battlefield's modding community would explode with productivity, and you'd get a lot more bang out of your buck from that 60 (or more) dollar price tag.
bang for your buck isnt something that appears in EAs phrasebook
Fix the rest of the fucking bugs, that last patch that supposedly fixed a lot of them did fuck all for me

If you just sit idle with a fast attack boat, that fucking gun kills anything no matter how far away the target is, I've always done it but some asshole always gets into the driver seat and beaches it
How about actually releasing some of the fucking DLC I paid for... :suicide:
How did you still fall for their marketing pre-ordery premium bs after all this time, what did you honestly expect?
People whine about something they don't think will work, still buy it anyway, then whine when it doesn't work...
that's why the damage is capped at 25% regardless of what you hit or where. Unlike the RPG7 where a proper hit can do 40-50% damage and most of the time even make a mobility kill
but how can the tank shoot back if you can shoot the mbt law around corners?
bang for your buck isnt something that appears in EAs phrasebook
Really? Then how did I receive Battlefield 4 + Premium for 45 dollars directly through EA during a sale on Origin 1 month after the release? Most EA games I get are significantly discounted.
I'm sorry, I thought that opening up your ports is common knowledge nowadays.
Apperantly it's not.
Joining an online should never require you to open ports ever, no exception.
please nerf "could not join server"
It would be nice if the attack chopper didn't instantly tip 90 degrees when it gets hit by a missile
but hey some people like that I guess
Can they please fix matchmaking? I can click on Team Deathmatch and it will try to load me into a game of Conquest.
Holy shit, DICE is such a fucking joke now. Honestly Battlefield died with 3, the devs working on this classic franchise are to inexperienced or naive to make it right anymore. They're probably also going to fuck up Battlefront =(

As i dont think anybody is going to correct stupid, let me do it for you. Client/Server applications dont require clients to open specific ports to have a chance in hell of connection. The server listens on a specfic port, and the client sends requests on a random dynamic port between 49152 and 65535. All of these ports are already open unless you fucked something hard. Opening a set of ports would only be useful on a p2p game where one client is given the job of hosting the server. The only way not having these ports open would impact you is if the netcode decided you should be the server, yet your ports are not open.
This is going to sound stupid but when I played bf4 (Around new years) all I would do is run engi and secure my first main kills with the eod bot. I always Got around 3. It felt like a free life to just run in to a battle and kill. It may of just been players skill with it being around Christmas and all but I don't see why it should be so easy to kill with it. Its far up in the scheme of unlocks for the engi so it wasn't used all that much but it doesn't mean it shouldn't get nerfed.
They should balance the ratio of bugs to functional game

The magic of UPnP
I wish they would add more options to commander mode. For example in unlocks. Being able to unlock and deploy other vehicles like tanks, APCs, LAVs. Also other modes of attack like drones. I find commander class so boring a at the moment.
[editline]26th January 2014[/editline]
I also very rarely find a commander and players communicating with each other. I would also love if they added VOIP to the whole fuck team or server. Not just squads. God it's annoying.
it's a pain in the ass when ever I join a game it goes flip back and forth from Window Mode to Full Screen Mode for a good 30-60 sec before the game is done loading anyone els got this issue.?

Last time I played (which was a few months ago) it took like 60-120 seconds to load.
I'm eager to try again but my pc is broken.
I'm pretty sure everyone is over-reacting. I paid full price for premium and BF4, I had issues for like the first month? Nothing since.
No regrets, I feel like there was more problems bad-company 2 and BF2 in their first weeks then BF4.
Fix the veteran battle pack for the last time DICE.
Sorry to say, but those dumb votes aren't going to change anything.
I mean look at Battlefield 2 or even Bad Company 2 and compare it to BF3. The teamplay, guns, and vehicles are all shit.
-Heavily Nerf the AA gun and remove like half it's unlocks
-Buff Attack Helis back to BF3 flight models, Reduce Flare cooldown or give the ability to hold a set of flares
-Get rid of 25mm for Little Bird and go back to 20mm only
-Increase Flying Space for Aerial vehicles IMMENSELY, Height/Width (dont get why they changed this??)
-Change Camera Angles for Jets back to BF3 and give them a huge increase in Weight and Turn Radius
-Give Commander Mode more things to do then just be slightly annoying
There, I fixed your game DICE.
You should balance dinosaurs...by putting them in it.
"duh just open your ports dummy"
yeah because games are designed around people opening up their ports
As far as I know, the ports shouldn't be a problem unless you've deliberately closed them, and if I'm correct about this, that's probably his point.
Also, judging by this thread, it's still a glitchy mess?
Battlefield and CoD are console games, I've had no issues with either other than BF being buggy and glitchy. I don't have any issues joining servers with the in-game browser on my PS4 although battlelog and the EA servers always suck randomly not loading my profile and tons of glitchy gameplay stuff.
Fix fucking loading times.
There is currently an exploit where the MAV can laser-designate targets as if it's a SOFLAM. That could use a spanner.
