ooooo, this looks good, gonna have to wait to get it though
Oh so the title is just "DOOM"? Sheesh.
Should've been SPISPOPD.
I do believe the way they obtain CD keys aren't exactly legit or something along those lines.
Didn't that all turn out to be a load of bullshit?
They're really taking the piss this time

For that price a skeleton shows up at your bat mitzvah and punches the shit out of you
Did you buy the 85 cents protection or something?
I had something similar happen to me with the bfg edition and they basicaly told me to fuck off since I didn't get it.
Yes, I bought the protection. But then Gamefactory, who were my suppliers, ran out of keys fast and the only way I found out was through someone else having the same supplier here and getting the same issue. And he wasn't the only one complaining about Gamefactory. It took going to the live support chat for them to confirm the same problem for me. So I tried to get a refund, and they only offered store credit.
You can see where the problems arise, even if it's a common business tactic. But I did manage to wrestle a full refund out of them. .. it just took almost a week for it to go through. And thus I played the PS4 version of the game on a rental, so I didn't get far enough to realize that MGSV sort of has a strong early game stride and then rapidly piddles itself into a territory of monotony and severe missed potential.
I'm not sure if I should Pre-order this. I played the multiplayer alpha and was very disappointed, it didn't feel like doom at all.
However I want id to get more money so that they can stop reusing their IPs and do something new.
I'm probably going to wait until they (hopefully) announce or release mod tool for moral reasons.
The closed alpha on xbone was pretty fun, would have liked to have gotten a steam code as well for comparison but they were all gone by the time I registered. Runs smooth 60 fps and has solid (if simple) gunplay.
That being said pre ordering any game is dumb.
I enjoyed the alpha multiplayer, and it's priced the same as any other new AAA game these days, I don't see why the price is surprising to anyone.
I still don't see a point in preordering digital games, but i'll probably pick it up sometime shortly after launch assuming it doesn't end up being a complete turd. Everything I've seen looks promising, though.

$80 for Fallout 4? Sure. There's a lot of content, good mods and will last me a good several months to play.
$80 for DOOM? No fucking way.
What's the deal with every damned AAA game costing 60$? Yeah it's new and that but still is really really expensive for a game.
AAA games costing $60 isn't exactly a new concept
AAA games costing $60 isn't exactly a new concept
It's not so much the concept but the idea that Doom (which is niche, don't act like it isn't, it's niche as shit) should be $60 is a bit odd
The new Wolfenstein was 60. Don't remember anyone complaining about that.
Doom is not niche. It's the game that literally fucking revolutionized and standardized the FPS genre as a whole. On top of that the reason modern triple-A games cost so much is due to the fact that as development costs get higher alongside marketing, they need more money to pull in a profit from sales. Be glad games aren't actually getting more expensive beyond the base $60 price range. (Besides, of course, EA and Ubisoft bullshit with special editions and so forth to try to seize higher profits.) Plus this is a game with a full singleplayer, multiplayer, and the Snapmap for map creation, scripting said custom maps and otherwise.
Wait, what happend to that Alpha/Beta we were promised?
Wait, what happend to that Alpha/Beta we were promised?
You've missed two closed alphas, bub. Beta is next year.
$111.21 AUD with current exchange rates.
I'll pass.
I'm looking forward to this game but I've been burned by pre-purchases before. I'll buy it after a few patches release.
I'll probably get it when it's half price down the road. It looks like a lot of fun, but not $80 fun.
The new Wolfenstein was 60. Don't remember anyone complaining about that.
Wolfenstein was worth the 60$ being that it was one of the most well optimized game play experiences as of recent, while still looking P. good.
Looking at SteamDB, Canadians should be lucky that they're paying what they're paying, because countries like Switzerland and the UAE are getting fucked over by this. Personally, since I'm in the USA, I don't mind paying $60 since AAA games usually have enough content to justify the price tag, though like any other we'll all just have to wait and see with this one.

and a story that makes me crei evry tiem
I don't get it, Canadians get it slightly cheaper than Americans but they're getting ripped off somehow?

Game prices have gone up significantly here in such a short time.
Purchasing a new game in 2013 would have set you back $60.

AAA Games are CHF 80+ in retail stores here, so that's not even the worst deal you can get. It really fucking blows that they introduced CHF to the Steam store since games were usually much cheaper in Euros.
I'm fairly certain the CAD was worth more than shit back when that came out, but I could be mistaken. With the current exchange rates it's basically not affordable to buy AAA games in Canada. And the really sad part is that the CAD isn't even the worst off...
I'm not talking about it being in CAD
According to the steam enhanced plugin, GMG had/has it for $50 USD.
The price isn't on GMG anymore but if anyone wants it maybe keep an eye out on GMG.
I don't get it, Canadians get it slightly cheaper than Americans but they're getting ripped off somehow?
we still get paid the same as we did before our dollar got fucked
we're paying 133.33% what we used to
it makes sense and the publisher does it to compensate from the loss they'd receive if we paid 60 CAD, but the incentive to actually pay for the game is way lower
Going to leave these here.
