At least Wolfenstein was a really fun game. From what I've played of DOOM's alpha, it's not good at all. Hopefully the SP/modding scene will make me feel otherwise.
[vid]http://webm.land/media/ICrK.webm[/vid]
So I figured I would clear the air about this song while it is still a topic. One of the things is that according to Mick this is actually an older song https://twitter.com/Mick_Gordon/status/672800942773825536 If I had to guess the one from the trailer is probably the most recent rendition of the song but they probably went with it because of the way the game handles the music. You see, according to Mick, the game utilizes a dynamic soundtrack, playing certain beats and tones depending on how the player is doing. Now funny enough this is actually working in the alpha, that music you hear in that webM is the main menu theme but it will play :00 - :12 indefinitely while you are sitting at the main menu, once you enter a lobby the beat then drops and plays the wubwub stuff you hear at :13. If you go back it plays the rest of that section then transitions back to the build up. Its pretty interesting honestly.

Now I'm interested. Love the dude's work.
I want a new Quake Arena but I don't trust the modern Id Software to not fuck it up
