Ive been hearing the same with other mods. Hence why hezzy shat his pants and locked the forum chat thread after a ton of people came to him asking why does 30ish people get banned for one user who's obviously starting shit in the first place. I would just put him on ignore so half the thread feed isn't clogged with shit, but you cant do that anymore.

How much context do you need? But the context changes it completely. This is just harmless venting on Tudd's part, and he's totally justified in a lot of what he's saying. There ARE people who take their bias against him way too far. There ARE posts that skirt around the no flaming rule, insulting everything from a person's character to their entire ancestry, and getting away with it because they didn't say "fuck you". I would hazard a guess that the difference is that trolling has become an accepted political technique since the sanius squad was around. and tudd is so far up trump's butt that banning him would be seen as attacking the intellectual diversity of facepunch or whatever. or they just find him funny to keep around, probably that.

Ultimately MaxofS2D got banned for shitposting. It wasn't really his opinions that got him tossed as much as the fact he was being a snarky, annoying fuckwit about them. Most people who claim there's some kind of political hivemind going on in Facepunch and who complain they got banned for opinions are actually just rancid shitposters. Tudd's entire claim to remaining unbanned is because his shitposting toes the line just about enough. It got so fucking stupid that there's efforts going on to catalog and scrutinize every dumb thing Tudd says because that is virtually the only way we can get rid of one of the most obvious sources of disruption of the forum. His ability to never stay banned is obnoxious considering the fact he managed to post like seven threads in a day or two and absolutely cluttered the already tight-spaced SH front page. Even the whole "just ignore him!!!" argument loses its value when A) the forum doesn't even have an ignore feature anymore and B) ignoring Tudd doesn't give those six or seven thread spaces back.

Wow, I did not expect this to have occurred in my own country. Usually when I read about arranged marriages it seems like something distant, not part of any contemporary Western culture, and certainly not something that could happen so close to home. This almost sounds like human trafficking on the part of the parents, and I hope they get put away for a long time for it. He will never answer to any post that has actual facts proving him wrong. Only when there is some mistake in the wording that allows him to weasel out another stupid argument about how white people are better without actually ever saying it.

I was gonna say this. I've always believed his entire continued presence is some sort of inside joke among those on mod team who strive to keep around (especially when last year they actually MODDED him for a day on April Fool's Day, and then let him keep that intrusively big frog avatar for months afterwards), and even hearing that it's just Hezzy now doesn't change that. I don't know if he's keeping Tudd here as some sort of pet or village idiot that makes for some "wily trollface japes", or to act a sort of living idiot-cull where people who are too "stupid" to pick up on some unspoken rule that only exists in Hezzy's head not to respond to Tudd's bait get banned far more severely than Tudd ever will, or what. Banning any discussion of the guy back on Oldpunch (and by extension discussion of mods or policies so we can't even complain about that) was bad enough. But now - as Ganerumo said - here on Newpunch thread list pages are much smaller and we lose the user ignore feature, so it's not possible to "simply" ignore Tudd anymore, especially since his thread output has gone into overdrive in the last day or so. He's become a genuine pain in the ass. It's not even due to his political beliefs or defense of Trump - a lot of people get on Chonch for that too, but among other things at least Chonch will stick around and argue his position rather than just run away and barf out another bait thread - but it's because what Tudd is doing is transparent as hell and he does it with carte blanche from the staff when others have gotten permabanned for far less. I hate throwing someone out of a community by mere group rule regardless of how much of a bad actor they are, but until users get some sort of tool to personally minimize Tudd's presence such as a restored ignore feature or something, we can't keep him around like this. Half of SH's first page yesterday was just Tudd's bait topics. Something's gotta be done.

Simply put because the OP is trying to push his agenda about black people and muslims being ~evil~. You'll never see him post articles about how muslim communities help authorities find radicalized members, or how a black guy saved a cop.

No one's saying that this event wasn't newsworthy or terrible. They're only pointing out the possible intentions of the person who made it.
