You auditioned for Drake and Josh? What was that like?
I believe the local radio used to always have ads about coming in and auditioning your kids for parts. My dad and I decided to check one such ad out for "That's So Raven" but when we got there they assigned me to a Drake and Josh call. I was given the script for an episode and read lines in front of a camera. I was a dumbass kid and wasn't thinking so I smiled throughout my audition so they basically had a tape of some retard child (me) smiling reading their script out loud. I really messed it up. A year or so later I saw the episode (S4E7) and felt even stupider because I think I really coulda done better.
It's the episode where they get "Pump My Room" to fix up the house and all the furniture is stolen when they show their parents the big reveal. A sideplot involved Megan having a male counterpart named Tyler helping with her antics, I distinctly remember reading the parts of the script about Drake and Josh getting their hands stuck in a bowl of nachos because he puts glue in them.
Years later I asked my dad about it and he told me that a manager named Thor Bradwell saw potential and wanted me to take acting classes, which I remember my dad signing me up for an improv lesson sample not long after the auditions.
I should try again someday. I really regret not holding onto that connection. I think he managed the Suite Life kids, a lot of High School Musical stars, and others that have grown pretty good careers. IIRC the thing my dad said to impress me was that he was a young Leo Dicaprio's agent or at least worked for the agency that discovered him

If he's referring to Butch Hartman, I don't recall him doing anything bad.
It was just a case of Nickelodeon refusing to let his show die/end, which I'm pretty sure is the real reason why he left the network.
Doesn't help that they kept cancelling Fairly Oddparents and then renewing it out of nowhere
