The date was confirmed this morning by the fine folks at GameInformer, as part of their month-long coverage of Spider-Man, on collaboration with Insomniac Games. GameInformer executive editor Andrew Reiner reminds everyone in his release date reveal post that there is much more information to come. Insomniac didn't just provide the release date; GI has a 14-page blowout this month revealing all kinds of details. "Our cover story offers information on Spider-Man’s upgrades, leveling, and suit crafting. Yes, you can bring back some of Spider-Man's most beloved looks, of which there are many. In the 114 questions video he asks something about a guitar AoE attack, and the dev says you saw that in the demo and it cuts to a picture of the punk rock spidey suit. I'm actually curious if it was a joke or not

God I need to play Spiderman 2. That was the best Spiderman game ever, hope this lives up to it or even surpasses it.

Honestly, I believe it's because if the average person is going to choose between 60fps and better visuals, they're gonna go for the latter in most cases. A large percentage of people just aren't bothered by 30fps, and I'll admit to being one of them so long as the frame pacing is rock solid (Horizon Zero Dawn being a good, recent example). Though when a game can manage 60fps AND look great (Doom 2016, recent CoD games), then all the better.

Well I've gotten used to even 144hz so going all the way down to 30 is torture.

They announce their shit way too ahead. I haven't found a single title interesting for PS4 in the past 14 months. And it takes another 5 months until I get something interesting with this title.
