4Channer blackmails people to sending nudes of themselves on Hormone therapy

I honestly have a hard time believing this considering how hard it is to actually get hormones. Sounds like one of those modern 4chan pranks where some dudes spread bullshit and shit their pants when people actually believe it.
Somewhat a bizarre reaction to the term femboy. Seemed rather succinct and to the point to me.
In general, any sexual term from Japan should be thrown out because most often they're original meaning and reasoning for existance is insulting rather than empowering. Yaoi and Yuri were originally used to insult gay and lesbians, there is a very very very storied history behind those terms. And Futanari is up there with calling someone whose been born intersex or maybe transitioning a Herm or Tranny. Its entire existance is fucked like Shemale.
Also, if it seemed like my post was overly harsh to trans people, didn't mean it. Its a serious problem that only a professional can diagnose and help you or someone else with. I get a bit over invested because I have plenty of friends who are trans/gender queer and the amount of terrible advice/pedophiliac grooming that exists within the darker parts of those communities pisses me off.
Never go to internet forums for advice about whether you're trans/queer, if they say anything beyond, 'seek professional help to properly diagnose you and start you on the right path of treatment', fucking run. The grooming communities in the LGBT space are terrifyingly good at going after sensitive teens and young adults.
I never, ever see the term "futanari" or "herm" referring to a real person, though.
Except trap is obviously part of the CD community, not the trans community.
I know. Just some trans people are kind of uncomfortable with the word in general. I call myself a trap but that's kind of my decision. People would just prefer "femboy" for that kind of stuff, someone explicitly states they're fine with being called that. I can see your point yeah, but I've seen people who are clearly trans and be called traps without any prior permission towards being fine with it, so it is kind of an issue to trans people.
Thank you for putting this into words. I've seen this phenomenon a lot and it's really offputting. A lot of the time I don't really even think it's intentionally predatory, moreso that it's a misguided distortion of encouragement and validation that turns into creating confirmation biases for impressionable people. Leave this stuff to the professionals.
FYI trap isn't a japanese term
the japanese equivalent term is otokonoko
I do think most of them are well-meaning, there's a lot of stigma and a lot of denial and I think they're just trying to convince people to move forward. But most people don't need to go down that path and there is no reason for them to, some people might be questioning but not sure, some might just be depressed and looking for an escape from themselves, and a few might just be a bit too curious for their own good. Get medically diagnosed before even thinking of taking any irreversible steps.
Why are y'all defending slurs.
Doesn't matter what it is in Japanese culture, localize your terms.
It's because a lot of people on r9k abhor the shit out of transgender people, which is exactly why I have doubts about this being legitimate at all.
yeah I don't really understand how yuri/yaoi are negative terms, that isn't something I've ever even heard suggested before
you don't need to "use it as a slur" for 'trap' to be a slur.
Which is exactly why I said it was more shaky. I've seen it used as a slur, but I've seen it used as a non slur waaay more than that.
I don't recall that guy being involved in this stuff, I thought that was just depression unless I'm mistaken?
The guy who killed himself in a livestream isn't related to the Reiko incident, I know someone who was close friends with him that confirmed it:

Plus I heard from others he had a bad relationship with his parents who wanted him out of the house while depressed and wasn't into trapping.
It seemed weird to me that that "information" about his suicide came out only as soon as the Reiko shit started.

Guy made a new video btw.
ehhh, I don't think you have to use it as a slur for it to be offensive, but I don't think the term is inherently insulting
the term speaks more to the stigma against homosexuality than it does about deceptiveness. A trap is a trap not because they're deceiving you into believing they're a girl, but because you can't help but be attracted to them despite social pressures telling you that you shouldn't be because 'that's gay, bro'.
Obviously that social pressure is dumb as fuck, but I don't think most people who look at trap porn sincerely believe that it's justified. The term is an acknowledgement of that social pressure, not necessarily a validation of it.
The thing is, language is complex, and that usage isn't necessarily universal. There are probably a lot of people who use it in a more derogatory way. Personally I think describing people as traps is a pretty rude thing to do(it'd be like calling someone a MILF, it just seems really weird to label people like that), but I think it's important to recognize that the word is probably used more often as a joke about societal attitudes towards sex than it is as an accusation.
The use of slurs isn't (generally) the point of contention. It's whether or not they are slurs to begin with that's the matter of debate.
Scum like this can just rot in hell.
I always heard that this was some R9K dude who was depressed or something and the board cancer egged him to kill himself. Never heard it being related to the HRT trap doxxing. Now I'm not even sure what to believe.
You know trap doesn't just apply to a dude drawn as a girl right? There's plenty of anime characters that are drawn as guys but are girls
a """"joke"""""
because cute guys are really """'"'"'funny""""""
people buy and make lots of stuff with them because they make them """'"'"""""""""laugh""'"'"'""'"""""
Because "Trap" isn't a slur?????
the term you're looking for is reverse trap, I suggest you reread your weeaboo edition of webster
Where is it being used as a joke?
It's almost like Japan has an entirely different culture from us and that includes humor. And yeah it is pretty funny seeing a hetero character fall for someone only to find out their not a girl. A bit weird you're critiqueing this with a P&J avatar
I think he's saying that they're not solely jokes, and that part of it is the sexual aspect.
i'm not being passive aggressive I'm being facetious
what I meant to imply is that people don't buy astolfo dakis because they think he's funny, they do it because he's super hot
