'Teen Titans' TV Show Is Really Making Some Choices with the Costumes

I think it's pretty obvious that it's the Actors inbetween scene Coats they are wearing, as everyone on Set seems to be wearing a coat, and it's quite common for people to wear Coats between scenes.
So if you ignore the Coats, it's pretty obvious still that it looks like shit.
Like it's going to be a trope someday. The sacrificial black woman: so the media blames racism/sexism instead of exec incompetence, leaving the poor actresses to face hostility that's been manufactured and then encouraged.
I don't think it's worth getting caught up over Starfire being black, that's like whatever. Everything else though is such hot fucking trash, it's like doing your halloween costume shopping at hot topic.
It'd be easier to fap to Chris Chan than that. Don't do it man, it's suicide.
I kinda think it is.
Mainly because the characters are supposed to be colored.
Beast boy is supposed to be Green, Raven is supposed to be Grey (tho I can kinda let it slide since it's not majorly Grey), and Starfire is supposed to be Orange.
It's because they aren't Humans, they are Aliens (well Beast Boy is a Mutant but Raven and Starfire aren't Humans.)
Yeah you're probably right. Could've kept the same actress and spray tanned her or whatever.
Also I didn't know Raven was an alien. I thought she was just some weird sorceress. Been a while since I watched the animated show and I never got the chance to watch it in full ( as much I remember liking it). I remember an episode where Raven deals with some kind of father figure or whatever though but only vaguely.
She is half-Azarathian, half-demon hybrid.
Her mother is an Azarathian from the Parallel Dimension Azarath and her Father is an inter-dimensional demon
Jesus Christ.
The actress is fine, she's a solid performer. Whatever the hell that's supposed to be is not fine.
I was browsing through the lmao thread, and these pictures popped up. I just brushed it off thinking it was making fun of bad cosplayers.
welp
Going to exit this thread. I have things to do and I am just staring at this post box utterly and actually speechless about this.
when I think of Raven or Beast Boy from Teen Titans, albeit the animated series being my main context, my first thoughts aren't a goth, large-set individual that looks like she has too much of an attachment to her MySpace page to let it go, and a random guy that dyed his hair to have green frosted tips
they don't even look like teens at all for a series with it in the name, much less even the comic book titans; they look like rejected stereotypes of what movie directors think teenage superheroes look like in fashion trends from a decade ago
I've never even seen the original show but jesus fucking christ. Why are they even making this?
Have you guys seen the leaks of robin in costume?
Pretty accurate to the

Bit of an update. Actress Anna Diop (Who plays Starfire) Claims that the photo was taken out of context.

...I'll believe it when I see it.
Unless she's wearing the dress to stay warm I still hate it
I am sick and tired of adaptations not being faithful.
if it turns out this is NOT her outfit, NOT her hairstyle and NOT her skin color, but Starfire's actual design, along with the others, then I'll be happy.
I've seen so many franchises I love get butchered in Adaptations.
The Walking Dead was the straw that broke the camels back for me.
Hasn't Teen titans utterly sucked for a long while now anyway? Just looks like more of the same with the dumpy-troupe here.
After the way Teen Titans Go! Turned out I went into this thread with 0 expectations.
But holy shit I did not expect $2 will get you a hand job Star Fire.
What is going on at CN?
This is obviously an artificial framing campaign to kill the hype so that when the show does come out everyone will be mindblown.
Citizen Kane and the original Star Wars trilogy will pale in comparison. Every single review video on youtube about it will consist of incoherent ecstatic screaming and whimpering, causing youtube to crash for two weeks and then be reborn as an independently owned video network re-entering its golden age.
If Beast Boys skin was green he'd look great IMO. The jacket captures his comic look pretty well and he's always meant to have been the most "normal" who tries to ride that popularity in real life but is secretly fucked up the entire time so his costume being a track jacket makes sense, especially if they're all in civvies.

Raven though? Ehhhhh. Raven I can maybe see since what the show seems to be doing a thing were Beast Boy and Raven are the TEEN Titans, Starfire and Dick are the Young Adult Titans and Hawk and Dove are adult Titans but the actress for Raven compared to Beast Boy is so young it gets pretty weird. I don't think they're gonna go the route of the cartoons romance(which is a LOT less prevalent than in NTT, the comic this is based on) but if they do then yikes.
Starfire though? Yikes. Lets hope this VFX is more than just sticking her head on a CG flying model

Wait? No Cyborg? What the fuck. Now I def don't want to watch it.
That is by God the worst attempt at Starfire I've ever seen. I don't really care if I got flak but they picked the worst looking person to play her she looks absolutely nothing like Starfire and the only possible way to save this appearance is if they CGi'd her orange but even then her hair is completely wrong. Beast boy is alright if they made his skin green and Robin looks fine. Raven looks like a convention cosplay
Why can't this new generation of children also get completely ruined by Raven's costume?
wtf? is their budget my life savings? those costumes look like trash
