• DICE Rumored to be Prototyping Battle Royal Mode for Battlefield 5

I don't see the big deal if it's just one mode, IE not the only choice for multiplayer modes. What's the big deal?
It's trend chasing and at this point it seems like everyone and their mother is trying to rip off PUBG these days so it's not very exciting. Plus it's diverting effort that could potentially be used in another, perhaps more deserving/interesting game mode. The Conquests in Battlefield 1 are probably the most interesting modes in the game (so long as you're not playing as the Italians) but instead of polishing and improving upon that game mode, they're just gonna slap together a battle royale mode that's being done to death in the short time frame it's existed in.
I'm not against trend chasing, though. If something is popular and you can improve upon it, great, go for it, but it seems like everyone is doing it and that makes it boring. If it's no better than any other BR game, why play it?
It is, admittedly, but that's part of why I'm against it. DICE has a lot of talent, but for all the things I like about their games, so much of it comes across as half-baked. Instead of trying to cram in a brand new game mode into your game, why not polish up the shit that needs polishing first? Again, speculation, but it's just how I feel
Bad company 2 was 4 4 man squads vs eachother on a tiny map. 4 man squads is how PUBG and Fortnite operate. Cash to outfit for next map sounds strange, usually you drop in with nothing and try to scavenge an arsenal.
insane how this comic is slowly becoming an accurate description of what we'll probably see at e3 https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58149/cc6a2ed9-376a-459a-b854-ef3e3cfd4028/image.png
