Being sentenced for a hate crime when there was obviously no hateful intent is one thing, but from what I can gather you don't even need intent to be deemed guilty of sending a grossly offensive message.

The worst part of this is that this PC Walker who is leading the prosecution has explicitly stated that she thinks the n-word is off limits for all people, including blacks. So now the UK potentially is going to have a precedent that a certain word is arrest-worthy by default, regardless of context and who is saying it. So this isn't even about prosecuting racism, this is about a power-mad government instituting an obscenity code.
