Milo Yiannopoulos and a group of democratic socialists walk into a bar

The way i'd phrase it would be something like; He's been striving for a society where people can say any shitty thing they like to anybody, and now he had a taste of it on the receiving end.
I actually pretty much agree with him on that free-speech-ish level, but i just find him utterly unlikable. There's damn near no kernel of positivist to be gleaned from his convictions, so i wouldn't find any joy in sticking up for him.
Calling Milo a Nazi is only diluting the term further and further.

I'd say it's pretty accurate in this case.
I have to say this is kind of silly if you think this makes a person an actual Nazi automatically.
Going by the list;
An edgy holocaust shitpost that a ton of people would be guilty of.
Randomly wearing a Iron Cross (which isn't even necessarily related to the nazis, nor is there any context to this image to push that conclusion)
And holding two copies of Ian Kershaw's biography of Hitler.... Which are is widely regarded as one of the best biography series and is written by an author who did not sympathize with Hitler at all.
These are some really weak examples to call someone an actual Nazi. Especially when he doesn't espouse for white nationalism.
The guy is a total edgelord though and I am not surprised that when he was younger he would have such things.
.
Self ascribed professional provocateur tries to provoke people and they tell him to fuck off because everyone knows his shtick already, this is shocking.
I personally find it funny when someone who got famous by bitching about safe spaces gets hassled wherever they go because nobody likes them, ironically finding that they could use a safe space.
This should happen everywhere he goes tbh.
Social ostracisation is the perfect punishment for assholes. If they want to be accepted by society, maybe they shouldn't be cunts.

Maybe he's not a nazi, but he sure has hell has no problem hanging out with them.
So, what, we sit there and let them do whatever they want? How else are you going to deal with someone running around spewing garbage and being a cunt to everyone, when it's ethically wrong to wield the law as a bludgeon against free speech and you can't engage with these people and change their minds because they make a living off being a contrarian prick and refusing to be engaged?
If you're such a huge asshole a bar is chanting for you to leave then you fucked up, it's a bar for God's sake not a debate hall so expecting inebriated people to politely tell you to fuck off and leave is unrealistic. Milo is such a gigantic jerk that people can't stand to be in his presence, and a whole bar full of people shouldn't have to deal with him being there if he's unwanted. He's expecting others to have a higher standard than him and be morally correct all the time while he's allowed to be a hateful prick.
It doesn't matter that his hateful speech isn't illegal, it doesn't prevent him from social consequences like this. I guess it would be nice to be a total fucking asshole, saying horrible shit on live TV and on the internet, but then have no consequences whatsoever because "it's just words lol", but that's not how the world works nor how it should work. Your words have consequences, your speech is a choice, and no one has to respect you. People who say hateful stupid shit end up ostracized because no one likes hateful stupid speech, and people don't want someone who spews it near them. People aren't obliged to treat total assholes politely and delicately as they aren't being treated the same in return by the asshole. He's verbally slapped people in the face nationally and gets upset when people verbally slap back.
"So much for the tolerant left" aka "I'm such an collosal egotistical confrontational asshole but you guys have to be nice to me, otherwise you're the bad guys and I'm the victim".
I think the Nazi meme has been well and truly played out and makes the people screeching NAZI every 5 minutes look pretty dumb real live actual Nazis are few and far between and socially we have decided ok your wrong the end, not to metion Milo is gay and engaged to a black man so the Nazi meme doesn't hold up.
Milo is a ass hat with some stupid as fuck views however it is his intent to rile people up so your giving him what he wants. What happened to sitting down and discussing his ideology and poking holes in his beliefs? im sure more would be done if someone with half a brain was there and had a discussion with him and made his views look stupid instead of making him look like a victim (again what he wants), I mean a literal grand dragon KKK member was changed by someone simply sitting down with him and discussing the ideology so why have we forgotten about that? Oh right it would of been easier to call him a NAZI.
Take this with a grain of salt but I thought it was implied he was engaged to him so he could go "See I'm not racist, I have a black husband!".
Secondly, iirc, a lot of his "sitting down and discussing" things comes from him doing college debates with students, but it consisted of people trying to come up with arguments but he would make some epic zinger or something and his fanbase would laugh/boo the person off the stage. He clearly doesn't want to change his mind, since it's this mindset that gets him money.
I also think a lot of people dropped him because he advocated older men sleeping with underage boys (I believe entering puberty) to help them find their sexual awakening.
I'm all for debating people to help change their mindset but there's certain people who will absolutely never change their mind because it benefits them.
When someone solicits story ideas from neo-Nazis, sings karaoke with white supremacists in front of an audience giving Nazi salutes, and even uses Nazi phrases like Kristall and longknives as computer passwords, I don't think it's meaningful to debate whether that person is themselves a Nazi or if they're just helping Nazis spread their message
(all of that is here btw)
I don't know if he's aware of this himself, but he's snuggling up to his own political and ideological opposition in his political activity. The mentality and agenda he is peddling is the same ideology that would see him dropped into a volcano. I might be giving him too much credit, but these people he's in bed with are only good to him because they think he recognizes his own "inferiority" as understood from their world-view. "look at him, isn't it precious. he knows he's inferior and accepts it!"
I just can't fathom what makes him tick. even if he "wins" he's still gonna be on the chopping block sooner or later. He's absolutely mental, as in someone or something obviously fucked up his emotional center early on and he's taking it out on everyone who is like him, but isn't him. It's disgustingly poetic in a fucked up way.
Can people please stop falling for this? What do you think actual nazis are nowadays? Maybe if he doesn't want to be seen as a nazi, he should stop hanging out with them?
Also:
not to mention Milo is gay and engaged to a black man so the Nazi meme doesn't hold up.
Wow.
Milo: "haha i'm the poster boy for the alt-right, are you mad libcucks? haha i'm so cool, get cucked sjws! zing!"
Milo: "wtf nobody likes me? "
In this case? Sure, why the hell not? No one punched him, no one touched him, they didn't even properly force him out, he left on his own merrit, all they did was to let him know what they think of him. If you are an absolute asshat to people and then can't handle the repercussions of being an asshat, that's your own fault.
one thing that always makes me feel kind of bad about milo is hes always like "a gay boy having a relationship w an adult man is fine, it happened to me and i turned out fine!"
no, you turned out milo yiannopoulos :/
Milo "pedophilia is good" yionapolos shouldnt be suprised when people think hes an asshole
milo was going to dox immigrants live at his planned berkeley presentation
the dude is a piece of shit nazi, end of story
Excellent... maybe they will cancel eachother out
The term you're looking for is "play stupid games, win stupid prizes". If you want to prance around with nazis, support ultra right wing propaganda, and constantly mock others who are not right leaning, dont be surprised when said people publicly call you out on your shit. No one layed a hand on him, they just voiced their opinion on him. All of this is ironic considering you were fine with people releasing another person's nudes with no penalties because the first amendment. But because milo got told off now its bullying.
Making people that promote or engage in hate speech uncomfortable is a different thing from actually engaging in hat speech.
One of them is acceptable and what all society should be doing, making nazis feel bad, the other one is hating people for no reason.
We can yell at you until you leave the bar.
So in your logic he is allowed to paint millions of people as not welcome in the country by making videos on the internet that are seen by millions, but a bar full of people is not allowed to do the same in said bar.
Are you for real?
I mean I knew you were pretty damn right wing frm a lot of other threads but this is just laughable.
It''s just that I so often see him using that in contexts like this
Defending the statue:
Texas Antifa want Houston to remove statue of Houston
"not a real christian"
Muslim converts breathe new life into Europe’s struggling Christ..
pretty much the same as this thread:
Search
But I might also be just wrong and in that case I must appologize.
This is ironic thing about the Alt-Right, and the thing they don't really understand.
They're assholes who want to be allowed to keep acting like assholes, yet they don't want to be socially ostracized for being assholes. They think it's some kind of censorship or oppression that's keeping them down, when it's just other people making the choice not to tolerate their behavior.
Assuming Milo personally is treating this alt-right rhetoric as nothing more than jokes, id seriously like to know when he (and his supporters for that matter) thought it would be okay to start spouting memes in public and not be ostracized for it, especially when said memes are racist in nature.
I honestly could believe that Milo is just a colossal idiot manchild that doesnt understand the consequences of his own actions and not actually a white nationalist. Between that and the moral laziness of white nationalists who dont really have any strong political plans or watertight ideas, Im not really sure which is more reprehensible.
Either way, hes really obnoxious and the fact people actually still listen to him is making me very sad right now.
they want some sort of weird affirmative action for opinions
