Watching even more of his "debate" with Destiny might have actually harmed my ability to think critically, Dankula is really, really not proving a single point. He's such an ardent free speech advocate that he's okay with the President of the USA taking a news agency to court, failing to understand the weight of the HEAD OF STATE taking a press agency to court.

It seems society as a whole is getting thinner and thinner skin as time wears on, it's crazy.

People say this about every generation they are in and the generations immediately after them and it doesn't help that with the internet making the world a smaller place, getting reactions from easily-offended people is more common than ever. But if you actually consider the people you know and hang around with in real life I think you'd find most people aren't particularly thin-skinned and, if anything, my experience has been that the older generations (read: boomers) are at least as whiny and entitled if not significantly more so than millennials and gen Z.

In the prior thread when he was originally found guilty a lot of people were making the argument that it would set a precedent, but I would argue that a precadent had already been set by the thousands of convictions under the law, and that was as of three years ago. There are guidelines in place that limit the usage of Section 127 but as far as I can tell none of them are mandatory and there is no real oversight beyond the appeal process. At the very least the law needs to be revised to codify these guidelines.
