This says a lot about you I think, I yearn for the days of oldpunch where these posts would've...well, you know ;)
It's all about context. If you're comparing two local parties, don't compare them on a global scale. The political parties of Yugoslavia have no bearing on if Hillary is more left than Trump.
It'd be a lot better if amazon (the people working there) owned amazon, like a co-op, rather than Jeff Bezos owning amazon and the people who work there (because they'll probably die if they lose their job so they're owned by him in a way). The value of amazon is ultimately in the work that goes into it after all.
There's nothing inherently wrong with individual wealth as long as the poor are accounted for.
Without going into a discussion about communism, it at least makes you question whether Amazon could afford treating its workers a little less like slaves.
Of course they could, but in a free market you're always looking to increase margins and cut down on expenses, which often means compromising on working conditions and employee well-being. Corporations don't exactly tend towards ethical practice.
Let there be no doubt: companies like Amazon would treat their employees as literal slaves if they could somehow get away with it. In their ideal world, they only ever earn money, never spend it.
It seems like throughout history the only way to accomplish "great things" is to exploit your fellow humans
