That sounds right. If so, that means they are able to acquire less resources (alcoholic beverages) with the same amount of money, resulting in a net loss of resources for the Scotsman, we can say then that alcohol consumers are now worse off, poorer - just like if mass inflation were to hit tomorrow, I would be poorer overall as I would now be able to acquire less resources with the same amount of currency.
well yeah, I didn't exactly type out a scientific paper or anything
