This only works if you're working on an embryo since there are only a few cells and they can be edited. This isn't going to work on a fully grown man because you can't change the genetic code in each and every one of his cells. Gene therapies work best on the eyes since the eyes are not immune-surveillance so the foreign material isn't going to be annihilated as soon as the immune system detects it.
He was foolish for doing it without a medical history, a mistake that killed him
But he knew enough to not do experimentation on other people, thank god
this company seems no better than homeopaths and other alternative medicine wackos. while he definitely didn't deserve to die i hope this leads to the company closing before they get more people killed with dumbass medical "experiments"
No yet until begin studying on that field of medical biotechnology, In next several or hell more years.
You should know not all furries are not interest that Diaper (or even Baby-dressing) fetish(es).
godspeed you magnificent bastard
Honestly this guy seemed like a bit of an idiot and his lab crew seemed to have more brains than he did.
The interview he did with Vice made him look like the poster-child for /r/iamverysmart, if that was due to Vice's editing I don't know.
But the way he spoke and styled himself seemed to be in a way that projected "smartness" and not in a genuine way.
Unethical? More like impossible and stupid.
What does facepunch skeptics have anything to do with his career being in ruins? That's a pretty low bar for a measure of his success.
Ah, no?
CRISPR works by deploying a virus that does the cutting. It works in developed humans (in theory).
