Man, I remember this game on the N64. It's amazing for a movie game, and I'm glad it's on PC now.
Did you find the video setup program? It's kind of hidden. https://i.gyazo.com/6f057ac6a905226178c1777b8a9d85a1.png It doesn't have my resolution, but it's close enough to be playable. As for the gamepad I don't know; it took my PS4 controller just fine.
If you have GoG Galaxy you can go to the game's library page and select more>other>video options, which will let you set the game resolution to your screen's resolution. That should make it work.
It's not? It took my PS4 controller's analog triggers just fine, and it definitely isn't treating them as buttons. I'm able to hold the throttle exactly where I want it.
PS4 is DirectInput, xinput is specifically for Xbox controllers.
You have to enable the joystick in the joystick options before it will work. I had this issue too. Triggers work fine here, not sure what's happening with you.
It just didn't detect them at all for me. Weird.
I had issues too. Setting it to run 1080p instead of 1440p worked. Sucks since the game could run in 64k on a 1080ti I imagine.
I recently replayed it, it's amazing how good the handling feels. It has held up marvelously.
Yeah, setting it to anything larger then 1024x768 is a ctd on load. It's not a huge issue, but it would be nice to run it at a slightly higher native rez.
I'm running it at 1920x1080 with no problem.
it was me c: thank you for posting it
If they did, you know they'd paywall loads of shit, like new Pod Racers, Maps and other shit, there'd be some Singleplayer campaign that'd be dog shit and it'd look and play well but there'd always be something off about it.
Anyone get the Steam Controller to work with the thing? Also, I remember the N64 version having tons of neat cheat codes but I can't find any reference for enabling them on PC. Anybody know if you can?
My Jaw dropped when seeing this news. This game is fantastic, one of my favorites as a kid. While it has always been on PC, I'm really glad we got a GOG release. Essential if you like fast paced racers imo.
I remember enabling the debug menu and having no ideia what was going on since I didn't understand english
