• Lando Calrissian is pansexual, Solo: A Star Wars Story writer suggests

Oh fuck my ass, that I got absolutely wrong, It was about that female Droid that's going to appear in star wars. Yeah not a trans robot, sorry for that. The problem with that is that some few news media saying that it was the FIRST female droid to ever be featured in star wars, when The Phantom Menace did that first! and hell, The Clone Wars (The 3D Animated show) also had some few female bots, some even showing in multiple episodes.
There's better ways to deal with personal issues than flippantly presenting them on the internet. Definitions of pansexual people gave earlier in this thread (at least my definition) didn't even mention how many genders there are, because it's not necessary. What exactly are you looking for? And this isn't exactly biology, it's more psychology and it deals with human abstractions. These are just words to describe people's tendencies and preferences. If we go by my definition earlier, you can merely prove pansexuality by finding bisexual people who still take issue with arrangements like various transsexual types, and intersexed people, while finding people who have no such issues and self-describe as "pansexual" to get that label across. That's the data the pointer points at. So you'll quite easily find studies using it as a category now, but not really any trying to "prove" it's existence. Kinsey didn't really start his research by making proofs about bisexuality or something, he just asked people to describe their behavior and categorized it.
You do know psychology is a branch of biology right?
Biology is a branch of chemistry which is a branch of physics They're still distinct domains with different journals, researchers, and methods.
To be fair, L3's the first one I can think of who's actually supposed to play a major role rather than just being a glorified prop, so there's a fairly big difference.
This hateful attitude is getting very old and you should consider taking a break from posting in order to reconsider expressing these things.
Is there anything one can do to calm an uncontrollable hate of transexuals? In a vacuum I wouldn't call the post I replied to hateful, but given Killajax's self-admitted hatred for trans people, I think my word choice was appropriate.
What? I'm all for trans people identifying their gender as whatever they want, but this person is talking about sex, the physical component. per wikipedia, a male: A male (♂) organism is the physiological sex that produces sperm. Each spermatozoon can fuse with a larger female gamete, or ovum, in the process of fertilization. A female: Female (♀) is the sex of an organism, or a part of an organism, that produces non-mobile ova (egg cells). Please explain what is incorrect about this other than NOPE WRONG.
Who wouldn't be pansexual in Star Wars anyway? There's so many different things to shag.
Pansexuality is basically "if they're an adult human I might be liable to find them attractive"
Did people think he wasn't? That cape was fabulous
As correct as you are, there's no sense in trying to reason with them, they ignore basic biology and any form of logic. In today's age you could probably get away with saying your gender is a bowl of soup and get away with it. You can go ahead and pretend to be the gender you wish to be, the gender you're born with stays regardless.
boyo you're getting gender mixed with sex.
You don't really understand what gender is as a concept, do you?
Genetic markers of your sex remain, of course, but that's no excuse to refuse to treat people like their preferred gender. It's not like you can walk up to someone and dig through their genetic code, anyway, so who should genetics mean anything at all socially?
you can't change your biology so don't bother taking those hormones that change your biology
Okay I'm going to use this in the future, this is fucking genius.
Mission could get it
Do sterile people not have a sex?
Exceptions do not discount definitions. I'm unclear as to the exact mechanism(s) that cause sterility, but I'm pretty sure since sex in most animals is determined genetically, being sterile/infertile does not preclude being male or female. Even in the case of genetic causes of infertility, it's an error in what is normally male or female genetics. Anomalies like intersex and other such are distinctly neither male nor female, though. Just to be clear, I condone nothing other than treading people according to their preferred gender. I just think it's very, very important that a very clear difference is drawn between gender and sex, or else things can quickly become misunderstood in conversation. Sex is related to the body's structure; gender is relating to the identity of the person.
To be fair, if you're not pansexual in a universe with a bunch of different alien species, you'd be missing out.
If your definition of sex is what reproductive cells a person produces, and a person for whatever reason doesn't produce any, yes it does discount your definition unless you -stick to the logic that sterile people are without sex -amend the definition with another definition that accounts for this exception The point is that even the biological definitions aren't absolute and shouldn't be waved around as some biotruth
As someone who is bi, I've always seen it as just a different way of saying the same thing. Mainly because there's two sexes. If it was attraction to gender I'd see them as different but that's not what it is. But like you said, everyone has their own idea of what it means.
It seems the writers have watched too much Torchwood.
Nonbinary is not even close to pan sexuality, try again.
Never said they were close. Just said they dont exist
well i guess im gone fam https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DSvMCYsVQAAp1u2.jpg
He's talking about sex so...how is he wrong? He even gave an exception for infertile people...
Surely everyone in Star Wars would be Pan cos of all the weird alien wing-wong you could tussle with.
I know youre trying to be funny for the epic laughs, but I also never said the people who claim to be "nonbinary" or "pansexual" don't exist
