I still only have a Wii and a PS3

Honestly this just feels weird because the last gen of consoles stuck around for so long.
At this point I have all three main consoles plus a solid PC, so exclusives don't bother me. But besides Kingdom Hearts stuff and the occasional odd game, I don't get much bang for my buck with my PS4. I don't want to pay for Playstation Plus, so I can't play most of my games online. Sony refuses to do proper backwards compatibility that makes sense, so I have like, Dark Cloud on here and that's it, while Xbox is steadily expanding their BC functionality to the point of improving certain older games as well as pulling from the entire Xbox brand's lifespan while allowing play via physical copies (that stir digital downloads but still).
Honestly, Sony's gotten so fucking cocky about their lead start and strong exclusives that they've gotten gluttonous while all their other brands and parts of the company are falling apart.

Vbox, Michael here.
I got my switch release day and have used it docked about twice. That being said, I haven't touched it since I finished Odyssey but Shin Megami Tension V, Smash Bros, and Metroid Prime 4 will have me dusting it off for sure.
Good news for me, now i can wait for prices to go down and get one
This is why i wait for games to be released for a few months. Prices go low, prices get fixed, DLC comes out and it all comes together in a nice package
Gen8 above all else proved the worth of marketing. How the right marketing can skyrocket a system's sales two years before it even gets any worthwhile games, and how no marketing can utterly doom a system even if it has stuff worth playing.
I will remain bitter to my grave.
