After i saw the tweet about him talking about the fluid build up. That was pretty much the end is nigh. Since i remember when my dad passed away, it was pretty much the fluid build up that happened just a few days before he passed.
Time to rewatch his and Jesse's Terraria series I guess, gonna miss him
Same thing happened with my grandad, fluid build up then drained, felt better and looked to recover for a few days then passed. Its a right cunt of a thing but his tweets follow in suit.
Only thing I can really say is I'm glad hes no longer in pain, can only imagine how bad it felt with his liver failing and putting that much pressure on his spine and organs, if you thought kidney stones were bad, what he was having was a thousandfold.
I kinda knew he was going as soon as I saw the Tweet, saying that his mentality was better.
Same pattern with my step-granddad. You feel better before you die.

He's trying to show class at least.
I was hoping he was gonna be around for just a little while longer after that last tweet. Guess I was just being too optimistic again. RIP.
Rest in peace.
If you're wondering what you can do, you can help fight cancer with some distributed computing programs like World Community Grid, BTW. They have been mapping cancer markets since 2013 and running research tasks about childhood cancer since 2009.
World Community Grid
And of course, even donating one dollar to charities for detection and research helps. Charity Watch has a list of good ones:
Top Rated Charities | Charity Ratings | Charity Rankings | Chari..
So sad, I really hope they cure this horrible disease that afflicts basically everyone. It can do some crazy shit, bring you from healthiness to death in mere months, so horrible. Goodbye John!
Shame, I stopped watching him a long time ago but I always watched his arbitrary video game awards still. RIP mate.
Except it isn't. You can play the games he plays, you can see why he made the critiques he did, you can agree or disagree with his final verdicts on all things both gross and sublime. You can give to the charities he championed, you can give Gemma a quiet thumbs up on her content and you can see the conversations he carried whether you agreed with them or not, or even think they mattered all that much. You can lend your voice to the discussions he carried or start on ones you think matters as much in the same venues he did. You can create content he would raise an eye at.
You can carry his sense of humor or his methods of determining worth, you can reflect on his observations, and take them to further a degree on games yet to come.
And you can say "fuck cancer" for no particular reason out loud in public or private at any time.
Both of these comments are pretty classless.
edit:
This is a tragedy, but hopefully one that can serve as a reminder to the rest of us: If something seems wrong, please go to a doctor or at the very least call an advice nurse. It just might save your life. RIP TB, you will be missed.
Well, no. Helheim, maybe. Possibly Fólkvangr, if Freya is more lenient. But nobody’s going to Valhalla.
RIP

Ooh watch out. Got Mr. BigDick over here.
Matt Nelson runs the dog_rates twitter account, which TB was a fan of and was the last thing he ever retweeted

Fuck, that tweet was the first thing I saw when I woke up. This is just so sad
What the fuck. Cancer is fucking shit man.
He was the first game critic I ever watched. I based so many purchases off what he said. This hurts deep.
I'm gonna miss you TB. Hope you find some sweet Doggos to pet wherever you are.
As someone who has followed him since the Blue Plz days, it is a punch in the gut knowing that he is gone. I can't even imagine what his friends and family are going through right now.
To quote the author behind Total Biscuit's namesake:
“No one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away, until the clock wound up winds down, until the wine she made has finished its ferment, until the crop they planted is harvested. The span of someone’s life is only the core of their actual existence.”
I'll always appreciate him for exposing Warframe, one of my most played games, to the world and kickstarting it to what it is today. He was arguably an instrumental part of that game's success.
Imagine cheering on the death of a man because you disagree with him on video games
absolutely disgusting
Sky William's tweet on the situation. Even with all of this, it still made me smile.

The gaming community has lost someone so important today. All he ever did was think about us, the consumers. He will be missed.
Despite him having some very questionable moments and opinions at times. I'll miss him. I didn't think this would hit as hard as it did.
Must admit this is one of the only times I hoped for a click-bait title. What a trooper, fought until the bitter end.
Even though I know very little about him, never watched much of his stuff on Twitch or Youtube (at least not that I remember anyway, probably stumbled upon a let's play or a review somewhere), it's incredibly inspiring to see someone whose facing down terminal cancer continue to do what he loves until his last days.
I'll have to watch some of his work sometime. There was a video he did with Forgotten Weapons where he shot a bunch of WW1 weapons that I've been meaning to watch.
I certainly hope people continue to remember him when he was professional, active and in good health, and that the last couple years where the disease and its subsequent effect on not only his physical but mental health will sink into obscurity.

Jesse hasn't tweeted about it yet, but I have a feeling he is devastated.
God damn. Cancer is a bitch.
The man was amazing. Regardless of whether you like his opinions or not, he put so much passion into his work and honestly left a mark on the gaming community as a whole.
His "WTF is..." series has helped me countless times.
Don't read his twitter comments. The edgy kids have come out to play with this one.
