what happened to fallouts 5 - 75
AWESOME. FALLOUT 76!
I can't believe that it's actually a new, full game so close to fallout 4 And is that a silent protagonist I don't hear?
Maybe a fallout game centered around just the vault this time? That would be cool!
Vault 76 was a control vault, so nothing of any significance really happened in it.
Looked like some 3D version of shelter, but at the end it seemed like the vault was preparing to leave and reclaim the wasteland? Doesn't offer much, could be anything from a full on spin off to a vault management sim.

I'm actually really excited for this. Todd Howard said in some interviews that he really loved the Settlement system from Fallout 4 and wanted to try and include it into other games and expand upon it. It looks to me like that's the theme of this game, and it makes sense. Vault 76 looks to be a control vault where Vault Tec made it so it'd actually carry out it's mission of going outside and reclaiming the wasteland. I'm willing to gamble that this game is all about using the settlement system or something like it to build a city after the vault opens.
Looks like it's going to be the earliest set game? https://i.imgur.com/X3J4ECj.jpg
Rumors are it's an Online game. https://twitter.com/jasonschreier/status/1001826335189274625
Hopefully it's actually competently written
Something vault-focussed and possibly online. I was actually looking forward to a Fallout 3 remake more and even that would've been a bit underwhelming. Not completely writing this off but I don't have high hopes.
Finally get to find out what happened to Soldier 76
Leaks from a few days ago got the Name right, so it seems legit. https://i.imgur.com/OAxrT4i.png It's a fucking RUST clone.
Vault 76 was mentioned in the older games and some concept art for FO3 referred to it. Leaks could have just been wild guesses.
So if its a control vault then it should actually be functional and normal, meaning sealed up and relatively livable. Also there is the banner up on the wall saying, "Celebrate Reclamation Day!" Does this mean this is a vault opening normally with a whole crowd of people ready to build up society again? Especially with the music, "Take me home." And if the clock on the Pipboy is to in fact accurate its October 27, 2102, placing it 25 years and 4 days after the war, and 59 years before the original Fallout.
I'm getting the vibe it's going to be a settlement building game.
I say it's too specific for a coincidence. Also the guy who leaked FO4 2 years before announcement also knew about this.
Also it's pretty obvious, but I'm guessing it's gonna take place in West Virginia.
And he said it's Online too.
Have I been in a Vault? What happened to the last 74 Fallout games?
canned in favour of more skyrim editions
It takes place a year before the first real Super Mutants, where Richard Grey got dumped into FEV and where Harold set out. It has some potential, so I'm excited to see the first bit of gameplay.
Honestly I'm willing to toxx on it at this point that if Fallout 76 isn't about this I'll drink 6 liters of Nuka-cola coke in an hour.
Its set literally just 25 years after the bombs fell, meaning the player likely was a child seeing them fall at the time.
Yeah until you come across the East-Tek Creasearch Facility where they made CEV (Compulsory Eveolutionary Virus) and the Supreme Mutants chase you off with guttural speech and hunting rifles
Rust clone honestly sounds killer, but the possibility of Garry suing the shit out of Todd Howard tickles my balls.
Or at least some sassy tweets.
Vaults were my least favourite parts of Fallout games so I won't be very hyped for a game based entirely in one
