Mariella Frostrup: Men face 'double standard' over celebrity lust

To be fair, you're free to institute that in your own subreddits if you wish. A ton of subreddits ban "undesirables", and it's not just one political ideology doing so.
It's definitely scummy behavior, but it's also not Reddit Inc. doing it. It's... random people.
Not quite. Front page Reddits are endorsed by the admins, mensrights Reddit is a complete opposite to the endorsed twochromosomes so it's not just 'random people' it's a protected group of people pushing the agenda.
If it makes you feel any better the divorce rate for first time marriages is actually WAY lower than that. It's just that people who get divorced have a higher chance of getting another divorce if they get married again.
I'm not saying that it's an effort by Reddit, what I am saying is quite the opposite. I said there an effort by certain groups to quell discussion of men's rights on certain subreddits and while it's a scummy thing to do you are right to say it's their subreddit. I don't think it's quite right to suggest that it's not happening though. It's also not just just random people instituting these policies on large forums, to say their are just random people would be downplaying their actions.
protip: the people who view it as a victory are assholes.

the divorce rate figure was never actually 50%, although it has been as high as 45% but you have to understand that it includes ALL demographics. Marriage in the lower class living near the poverty line really isn't comparable to the middle or upper class who have financial security and stable family environments with relatively little conflict/violence.
internet agony aunts love to reproduce that "50% of all marriages end in divorce" but they might as well be saying "50% of households have domestic violence" - its a misleading alarmist claim.
That said, yes if you do get divorced in the united states it will probably ruin your life.
Not NOW, but OK.
The president of the French High Comity for Equality between Women and Men, to whom I brought the issue up during a conference about gender inequalities and harassment, thinks that way. Or at least she did before I vehemently insisted that it is possible for men to be raped by women by going into excruciating fucking detail in front of the whole assembly while half of the women in there were looking at me like I was shitting on their porch. To them, getting raped just meant getting a dick forcibly inserted into you.
The HCE is the public institution that advises the government on those issues. Basically the most politically powerful one when it come to influencing gender-related laws nationwide.
The point being, this isn't relegated to extremist corners of the internet, and those beliefs are sometimes held by entities with significant institutional power.
I'd argue that a lot of sexism directed at men is part of the mainstream, feminist or not.
Or being in a circle of friends who do not conform to gender politics and see through bullshit.
Once again, I'm talking about media representation, celebrities and such. People in the public eye, not your personal group of friends.
Which closes a few doors for you. Some people may not want to be associated with you
On the other hand, most people do want to be associated with feminism because it's also convenient
So what you're saying is that men should just forget about it because it's socially unacceptable to ask for equal rights?
You're saying it, not me
but just like associating with porn will close any opportunity of working with children, some people will be put off by that
you should be careful who you discuss your ideas with, nowadays a tweet can ruin a career
That's not what I asked though. Are you stating that people should not talk about mens rights because it might cost them jobs?
You should know that Italians are some of the most ignorant people of the Western world
