Are you telling me using cloud servers to handle physic calculations was a fucking stupid idea?
If only my friends didn't have a die-hard loyalty to xbox Sea of Thieves was pretty good though
Phil Spencer's mentality of not having many exclusives because he thinks games shouldn't be limited to just one console may work in bringing something of a good image but may have ended up killing the Xbone...
The Xbone really doesn't have to compete. Microsoft dominates in the PC front. Releasing titles that can cross-play out of the box is great for the consumer. Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 may not be the best games, but the ability to play with console users made it a really great, unifying experience.
i never really cared for crackdown any way.
At least what we got was pretty awesome too, wish we could have had both however. Arkane Prey scratches that System Shock itch for me way better than Bioshock ever did.
tbh this is why they should have just released it to PC
yeah fuck exclusives tbh. I loved crackdown 1, I thought crackdown two was a bit toss but I liked where they were taking the plot line. I don't understand why they had to promise this outlandish fully destructible environment shit while also having the game exclusively on consoles that would struggle to handle the concept. Why not just have certain aspects of the environment be destructible and focus on making a game as good as the orginal?
Prey 2 and Prey don't have anything to do with each other though. Outside if the name they didn't use any assets they had made during Prey 2's development.
Crackdown is the filler game you buy purely just to have access to the Halo 3 beta. Our computer graphics teacher in high school let us hook it up to a projector and play the beta near the last week of classes
I loved Crackdown though, I know I'm in the minority for that, but being the super agent unleashed on the street scum was fun as hell. It was frustratingly hard at times, especially once you had to fight Shai-Gen Corporation.
Phil Spencer mentioned a year ago, that this was their plan from now on, as he saw the backlash from cancelling Scalebound. And of course with a slight jab at Sony, which just announced a few games, and only one of them got a release half a year later (God of War), others had a 2019 release date.
