looks like the ps3 has some competition for dirt cheap super computers then.
Having a big phone wouldn't necessarily be bad if app designers accommodated it better. Like, does that UI element really need to be in the top life corner or on the left side of the screen? Snapchat is one of the worst offenders among super popular apps.
Yeah I have huge hands. If I ever have to use somebody's non-Plus iPhone or something, it feels comically small and unusable.
It depends on how big you are. I have no issues with my 6.44" Mi Max 2, and the big screen makes it great for reading ebooks.
hell no dude, i powered up my old ass iphone 5s and i could hardly type on the damn thing. why would you want a phone with a hilariously small screen? i recently got an iphone x because of the massive screen real estate and even then i would mind if it was slightly bigger
Not just the size of it, it's the weight of it as well, If I drown £800 on a phone I want to feel the weight of my fucking purchase, not some light ass thing that can be broken if I just sit down and have it in my pocket. I want something that feels heavy in my hand. It's why I prefer the 360 controller over the PS3 controller, heavier means it feels and fits better in my hand and I don't have to feel like I'm controlling this super light fragile object.
Because the sizes simply became fucking absurd and we need tech that makes portable devices actually portable again without having to buy a backpack to carry one. It also looks ridiculous from a fashion perspective and it creates the impression that we are all stuck in some kind of a weird idiocracy movie. It makes everything look stupid and like a parody of its former self, and essentially screams "we have new phone technology but no capacity to do anything with it that does not look like it was made by a six year old" I also feel that the whole ridiculous size thing is a sign of technological complacency as well as a scheme to sell more expensive phones for no particular effort.
dude id use a tablet as a phone if it had a handle on the back like a soldier's shield
I'm average I guess. I do admit, I'd love to have a bigger phone with a bigger screen, but only if it was a top of the line model.
The screen alone is probably worth it
I guess I have bigger hands than I thought too because I have no issues using my Note 8 one handed. If I need to reach the top left, slide the phone down, but I can reach every other spot just holding it normally.
I'd argue that means it's too big. I've got massive hands and don't struggle using big phones either, but i don't find it comfortable to have to shuffle the phone around my hand to touch the corners of the screen. I've never seen big screens as a worthwhile tradeoff for the usability, but considering the phone market atm, i guess i'm in the minority. At least i'm happy i have a smaller phone now that i have tendonitis. Using my phone has been painful enough already when i've had to use it, i don't want to imagine having to move it up and down too.
I still keep mine as a "festival-goer" phone, it's genuinely pretty sturdy. Already dropped it numerous times, once it even got underwater for a few seconds without any damage afterwards. Shame that Messenger no longer seems to work on it.
My 6S is a comfortable size when I went from shitty Target go-phone to contract phone. I wouldn't mind one of these just as a collectors item tbh.
AOSP has a one-handed mode I think, You just drag up from the bottom of the screen iirc
