i personally think the question of "is bad people dying a good thing?" is an absolutely critical, and incredibly difficult, question that we as a society need to discuss.

should we encourage the killing of bad people? like, if you had a friend who told you in confidence that they had a plan to kill someone that you know is horrible, that the world would be a better place without them, what would you honestly do? would you specifically ever go out of your way to kill someone that you know is a bad person?
i've already said it, but even when the death itself isn't a tragedy, the idea that it's preferable to continued survival is, or at least it should be. and only a few times in recorded history has it ever been the least worst solution to a problem.
Wow this thread. I see why the subject is controversial but I can't really say I know enough about XXX to justify him getting shot to death at 20 as a good thing.
It's wrong and unfortunate he was gunned down like he was, but in the end he brought it on himself, so it's hard to think anything but "who cares" given the way he treated others. It obviously would have been better if justice was served, but i'm not going to act like he was a saint who didn't have it coming.
I wouldn't say that him dying is a good thing but I would say that him beating his pregnant girlfriend to the point where she went blind in one eye is a bad thing and completely inexcusable.

I can't tell you whether it was good or bad because I have no idea who this guy is, but I can tell you that acting like a thug is not acceptable at 20. Maybe people find it compelling to focus on "money, drugs and bitches", but if you think that and you're not 14, it doesn't matter how successful you are, you're an idiot. This XXX guy went above that by being pretty much criminal in behaviour (domestic violence and assaulting a gay person), so while I don't think anybody deserves dying, this guy seems like he was trying really hard to be unlikeable.

I wouldn't advocate for murder or say his death was anything better than having him face justice, but I would say he deserved this and I am not going to mourn for a shithead's death. I might've been a little bit more sympathetic if he showed any sign of genuine redemption before but he didn't and that's it for me. Mostly just talking about the left eye, which could have just been darkened using the burn tool, or just painted over. If she knows what she's doing that could easily be done in Photoshop. The rest would have to be makeup.
