BMW executive says would shut UK plants if Brexit hits supply ch.. LONDON/FRANKFURT (Reuters) - BMW (BMWG.DE) would have to close its Mini and Rolls-Royce plants in Britain if Brexit seriously disrupts its supply chain, an executive at the German carmaker told the Financial Times. “We always said we can do our best and prepare everything, but if at the end of the day the supply chain will have a stop at the border, then we cannot produce our products in the UK" Around 60 percent of the 378,000 Minis made by BMW last year rolled off the production line in Oxford. Its factories in Swindon, Hams Hall and Oxford currently employ around 6,300 workers to make BMW engines and Mini vehicles. About 90 percent of the parts used in BMW’s British factories come from mainland Europe.
Well when you base the argument on leaving the EU around the whole "god damn foreigners" thing, don't be surprised when literal free money walks away.
Brexit shoots themselves in the foot in order to scare off immigrants. Get surprised when they are actually losing valuable blood in the process.
Country curses foreigners, foreigners stop investing, said country surprised at outcome. Gee who would have thought.
48% of the country apparently
Forgive them, they know not what they do. (got manipulated with fucking Facebook memes)
That was the other 52%
Brexit was THAT close? Wat. I fucking hate Russia.
Russia must of hacked the voting machines, it explains everything!
With all these threats of closures over no-deal Brexit we can add another thing to the list of common Britain culture: Football Greggs Cheap booze Being made redundant because a company no longer wants to do business in a no-deal Brexit Britain Queuing
Another iconic symbol of the UK that is not only not British any more, but also going to be further divorced from the country by Brexit. Fantastic.
WERE TAKING OUR COUNTRY BACK!
Agreed, rather than analysing the deep social and political issues that caused brexit, let's blame Russia... it's so sad, we will not get positive change with that attitude.
