It made me really upset for about three days, so I really wouldn't recommend it to anybody with severe mental health issues.
yeah if you're depressed or vulnerable to depression doki doki will fuck you up the warning label is right
The depiction of self-harm was also way too real for me, I honestly still have some unresolved feelings about that.
Why? Sounds like a good time to me, for a game to impact people so much.
It's an excellent "game," and I'll definitely recommend it to anybody that can handle it. I think it impacts people in a very unique and important way. But I also don't want anybody to get emotionally hurt by playing it.
Now I MUST play it. The shortcut has been there for almost half a year. Time to bite the bullet.
This was one of those games where the warnings were more than necessary. I felt really off for about a week or so after playing it, it was strange how much it affected me. It was more so the stuff with Yuri than with Sayori, though both did have massive impacts. Playing it a while before the YouTubers starting picking it up, i went in mostly blind. This kid should not have played it at all if they were prone to depression.
That depends where you live. In the US, the MPAA and the ESRB are run within the industry without government regulation. Its actually not illegal at all for a theater to let a kid into an R movie or for gamestop to sell an M rated game to a kid. The ratings are suggestions, not rules, setup by the industries to avoid government regulation. Self governing regulation is way better than actual government regulation. But in places like Australia or the UK, the ratings boards for video games are run by the government, which is why games like L4D2 were banned in Australia until they were more censored. It should be the responsibility of the parent to control the media a child absorbs, but not all parents want to take an active role in parenting so you end up with nanny-stateists controlling the ratings boards.
"And den the anime girl reached out of da computer and strangle him to deth."
