I would quite gladly trade places with any of the oppressed minorities that complain about this
Ukraine
Ah yes, that old "Russia annexes your country whenever they feel like it and has a history of using Ukrainians as meatshields in war" privilege
You have a poor understanding of privilege if you're judging someone just by their skin color.
It's funny how you've come to the conclusion this guy's an asshole just from a picture of peers listening to him
This shit is insulting.
Its not a tick box, its just a higher chance that the roll of the dice will let you off easier. I know i didnt get that lucky.
If you are too dense to see this ad is supposed to subconciously appeal to a mans power dream you need to open your eyes to the power of advertisements.
ah yes the power dream of having bored women listening to me while I talk about yesterday's board meeting regarding the new plans for the cafeteria
truly the most fulfilling dreams
Thee man being the center of attention to 5 women. Why is this so hard for people to see.
That usually happens when one person in a group is talking.
If you spent times in groups of people, you would know this.
Do you know what the job of an advertisement is? This is aimed to appeal to young men.
how do i become so woke?
Head trauma.
Calm down there. Some people are having trouble seeing whats actually wrong with this ad apparently.
I cant possibly imagine living with this mindset, thinking that everything has some kind of sinister ulterior motive to keep the sheep masses under some kind of shadow conspiracy behavior conditioning instead of just being what its presented as.
You know, I think I know someone who is really, really unaware.
Welcome to the world of advertising?
you're assuming there's an issue with this image to begin
it's just some generic stock photo shit, the university weren't trying to make some anti-feminist power play
why does man explains things to women always equal mansplaining?
why can't people stop trying to dig for deeper meaning in what is obviously some generic stock photo they found
fucking hell dude
Advertising is to sell a concept, idea, service, or to solicit services and shit, its not to enforce power fantasies or condition the masses to be subservient or whatever.
Also its generic as shit, i could find 5,000 different photos just like it on shutterstock.
Im not talking about the mansplaining thing. Im just talking about the very basics of this ad. Its aimed at young men for when they see this image, they want to be the man being payed attention to by 5 girls.
they look bored as fuck, is that the impression those young men want?
Don't worry, we're trying our absolute hardest to make polio a thing again, cause polio vaccines are evil obama policies.
Your last paragraph jumps to more conclusions then I did.
See what you want to see but keep in mind unethical advertising is everywhere.
No he's very clearly right, you're just finding things to bitch about.
There is nothing here to bitch about, but yet people are complaining about it all the same.
My future is not safe and secure. I am a half asian man living in a racist country town suffering from the common major depression.
Where are these assumptions coming from?
Your specific situation may be bad but it doesnt really prove him wrong, you're still fabricating something to complain about with this picture.
now this is the empowerment i want as a single person
When you run out of actual problems you create new ones out of thin air.
Exactly, like when you write a news report about fake outrage you've blown out of proportion so that it seems like widespread millennial political correctness gone mad.
