This motherfucker is why there ain't no trashcans anywhere on the streets of Japan. I held onto a dirty napkin for 2 hours. Good riddance.
I thought you where just taking the piss but you're actually not. http://jpninfo.com/54373 Today i learned...
Is there still anybody who follow this guy because I'd be worried that executing him would just turn him into a martyr for his followers.
Yes, that was one of the worries that possibly made the execution happen so long after the sentence. I am not sure, but I doubt it is big enough to matter. Who knows though, maybe with the mass media reporting on it on such a large scale they would be triggered in a way. I usually do not watch TV, but my grandmother was today and all they had on the news was this and the severe weather we have been having.
I had to look this up but i can't believe that there's a 7% chance of messing up a lethal injections. Wierdly enough, even hanging has a 3% chance of messing up.
With hanging the mess-ups are usually too much rope and their head coming which is honestly better than getting lethal injection drugs in the wrong order.
Aum Shinrikyo hasn't existed for a little while. They split apart in to two groups. They were both kept under close surveillance for years. In the last couple of years one of the groups, the largest one I believe, was determined to not be a concern and was removed from the watchlist. The other group however, when it was considered for the same thing, was determined to need continued surveillance and is still considered a concern. So yes, it's possible his death could affect that group, but I doubt the first branch at least will be a problem.
counterpoint: the japanese people wouldn't throw trash away into a full trashcan, anyways, meaning little trash would leave the can
No, they still existed as Aleph and one point in late 2000s they split into two groups by former spokesperson, so they means keeping his doctrine without him.
