56-year-old executive’s likeness from its logo Holy shit, looking good for 56 secret is in the pizza I assume
And the hair dye
Would be nice to know the context. No? Just me wanting to know that? Alright.
According to the original Forbes article, he was responding to the question of how he would distance himself from racist groups by "downplaying his NFL comments" before saying "Colonel Sanders called blacks n----rs" and complaining that Sanders never received backlash for that. They way it was phrased makes it seem like he was using the Sanders example to deflect criticism from his already controversial statements by going "why's everyone shitting on me for saying this controversial thing when this other guy said something way worse and got away with it?". Without any full transcripts of the entire conversation this is the best I've been able to find out myself. As it is, it still seems pretty uncool. Hell, even if John had just said "the n-word" instead of, y'know, the n-word, it'd still be a pretty poor choice of words. Not resignation worthy, IMO, but still backlash worthy.
I'm not commenting on whether he's a bad person or not. but this whole "he said a bad word in may, now he's fired" is so surreal to me. How does America expect every person to uphold this insane standard of near paragon-level of behavior? EVERY person i know has said a racial slur as curse-words. People do this non-maliciously all the time when riled up or when they stub a toe. I think America's whole obsession with public appearance is twisted. It's more important to seem and sound appropriate than actually BEING appropriate and compassionate. There's too much focus on public appearance (and if you disagree, then explain to me that even average fucking Joe's and Jane's on Twitter get fucking roasted publicly for sharing their idiotic sentiments when they're not in a position as public ambassadors, politicians or in a public-facing service position.) And too little focus on behavior and action. I won't stick my neck out for this guy as i can't speak to his character. This is just a tendency I've been seeing more and more in America. Of course everywhere else does this too. but not to this extreme a degree. It's almost pure caricature at this point.
resign
Because the roman ideals are literally built into the fabric of the US zeitgeist. Steal what you can don't get caught, become powerful and legitimize the stealing. Also fuck people who are different from you. It's been that way since the first immigrants, aka natives were here, and the off white greed fueled ones were no different, and the white batshit religious intolerant ones weren't either. America has been obsessed with do as I say, not as I do since literal day one, and there's going to be bleed off into the culture, simply because as a people Americans aren't old enough to see the forest for the trees yet.
So how does America stop being cancerous and holier than thou at the same time? I can deal with either or. Either be ZImbabwe or be the paragon of the universe. Not both brosephine.
Unfortunately, unless wisdom injections become a thing, the only tried and true solution is time and influence by those actors that have already seen this this shit from hell to breakfast, done the gimme all my shit and your shit too lifestyle and realized it wasn't all that great in the end.
I... huh? No? Swearing and cursing as an instinctive reaction, sure. But yelling out slurs? What kind of people do you hang around where that's normal? I've never known anyone to do that, and if I did I know it'd raise some eyebrows at the least.
not saying nigger is easier than you guys are making it out to be wait shi-
And the CEO salary
because all empires must fall
How often do exclaim faggot? Motherfucker? Fucking shit? Those are all slurs.
Uh. In what universe is “fucking shit” a slur lol. If you’re an adult who is at all socially aware, you should not be defaulting to racial slurs or “faggot” when you’re upset, my guy. My goodness.
Yeah, I really hate when I stub my toe in public and shout "fucking niggers". So embarrassing every time teehee.
That’s not how swearing works lol. Often swearing is cathartic and instantaneous, like when you stub your toe. There is some evidence it actually helps with the pain. But you don’t think about it, it just happens, you let out a swear word, and i remember reading that there could be a link between the harshness of the word and how it helps you.
Yeah but swearing isn't the same as a racial slur????? I can yell fuck and shit all day but that's not going to hurt anyone compared to me screaming "niggers" or "faggot" if I hit my funny bone on a door frame. C'mon man.
Those are also swears lol, they are taboo words. It’s the same thing
Not that this has anything to do with Papa John saying the n-word in a conference call but I just find it baffling how people seem to default to racial/LGBT based slurs when they're upset or hurt.
i hear that if you put the two words together they cancel out
I also really hate accidentally stepping on a LEGO brick barefoot and instinctively yelling "gas the Jews". It just makes me feel better after I say that.
There are different types of swearing, and the kind I’m referring to is the much more instintanelus one that is often a pain response. There is research that shows it does in fact make the pain hurt less, and you don’t think about what you’re going to say. why is this a difficult concept to grasp? Why don’t you actually tackle the argument instead of saying stupid shit.
If your instinct is to say extremely racist things, then you're probably a racist.
do you know what a swear is or are you actually this retarded.
That's not the part people are questioning. If your go-to "say it without thinking" swear is a racial or homophobic slur, you have some serious issues.
As I’ve explained, no it does not! The swearing rests on the word being taboo, not its meaning.

Uh
Like, i don't know what kind of paragons of virtue you've been growing up with. but i know people of every level of education and race, all of middle-class background who do this. THey'll call an annoying person a faggot or a dick, they'll refer to loud minorities by stereotypes while passing by a public scene playing out.
