Mandalay Bay owners sue victims of Las Vegas mass shooting

Not at all a bad idea tbh.
I refuse to believe this is happening. I can't reconcile myself to the idea of the fucking *victims* being sued especially in a case like this.
Another one bites the dust
the hope is to never need it, much like seatbelts and fire extinguishers
'Mandalay Bay Sue's victims" is all over Twitter now. People responding as you would expect.
Got to love blatantly disingenuous headlines.
well, not literally nothing. they could have conducted bag searches of everybody staying at their hotel upon checking in, they could have put security cameras into each room, they could have had staff perform random checks on rooms to make sure there's nothing illegal going on.
all it would have taken is further erosion of privacy and further implementation of the machinations of a surveillance state
Didn’t they send a security guard to check up on him who promptly got shot by him while investigating?
I can't really see what the victims would be suing the hotel for, as horrible and unfortunate as the situation was there's not really any way they could have prevented this without airport-levels of security.
the window idea is neat but it still can't outright prevent something like this from happening again
Ah yes I forgot that we should allow hotel staff to methodically search every bag and person that comes into the hotel like they're going through a TSA screening or visiting a maximum security prison.
Could've taken the time to read an article instead of ranting about your imagined version of events.
Once you lawyer up for whatever reason, the lawyer goes after everything remotely involved in the case.
