Google hopes to replace Android & Chrome OS with Fuchsia 'over the next 5 years'

Which is pretty insane considering that's not a statically typed language and is arguably nicer to write than Java.
Would switching from a Linux Kernal to the Zicron Microkernel slow performance at all?
"Fewshuh" basically.
Which is a shame because WP8 and even W10 Mobile have given me a better user experience than Android and iOS and its still rocking at full speed, no slowdowns, no crashes, no random fucking junk being added without my authorization.
That and the phones were not loaded with junk from the start (mostly because there isn't anything to load them with LOL NO APPS MEME) but hey, its got everything I want, Steam, WhatsApp and theres an app for Discord.
There is a problem I can see with them introducing Fuchsia though, Android, runs on fucking everything, it can be used for anything. If they want to replace it, they need to make something that can do everything Android can, on any platform that Android can be on currently, and do it better. That is quite an undertaking considering this cancerious monster called Android has rooted its self into basically every market and just continued to spread deeper, its going to take some doing to cut it out, this is going to be much harder than the time when Microsoft went XP is dead stop using it.
I doubt it'll be as hard as getting rid of XP when we really don't have much autonomy over what OS our phones run (unless you unlock your bootloader which isn't always possible).
All Google has to do is butter up the most popular manufacturers, ship ART with Fuschia to maintain compatibility with most apps, and the rest will follow suite assuming Fuschia isn't garbage.
