To be honest once you get past the thought that it's Mayonnnaise and actually look at the combined ingredients, it actually sounds like it would work.
The dairy from the ice cream and the egg from the mayo will make for a very rich and smooth ice cream, with the dairy likely overpowering the egg.
If anything it'd be like vanilla ice cream, can't be worse than carolina reaper pepper ice cream which again, somehow works amazingly (just have to eat it pretty slowly )

I remember my mom telling me about some relative that would win county fair baking contests by putting a cup of mayonnaise in with her cake batter, saying it made for fluffier cakes or something like that. I can't remember if she got that from a movie or if it actually happened to a family member of her but the point is, you'd be surprised what mayo can do.

I'll give it a try. There's a juicery near my university that sells a red bell pepper juice and you would not believe how much better and different a bell pepper tastes when you're drinking it. Maybe mayonaisse will work in ice cream form

It sounds disgusting, but I'm pretty sure it would work since the ingredients aren't that odd.
Wouldn't be something I'd eat though, not a fan of mayonnaise unless I put some sriracha in it.

Whole egg mayo doesnt have that tanginess that some mayos have and is fantastic in all kinds of desserts. Its high in fat and makes anything super rich. Works well in chocolate mud cake so i dont see why not in icecream.
Anyone who disagrees, you are thinking of the mayo on its own, but it can add a lot to desserts in place of other fats like butter or lard.
