Seeing as my phone's always plugged in, and it takes over 10 hours to drain without being used, waiting for the battery to drain definitely isn't an ideal solution.
And I've had it hard lockup while using the built-in camera app before. So...
I remember when the Note 4 came out. I paid ~$1k for that phone at it lasted me <1 year.
Had my op3 since release for like $400-$500 and it hasn't failed me since.
Paying a premium doesn't always mean you get a premium product.
I like Samsung's phones b/c 9/10 they're well built phones (I have an S7 Active that I bought last year for $400) but they're overpriced as fuck.
Hence really only good purchase months after launch.
I wish they would make an Active series for the Note because I love the S-pen but seeing as how I actually use it I can't trade it for a more rugged phone.
I used to have a Huawei which was way cheaper and offered similar specs to the current-gen Samsung devices
There's little chance it is going to be better (more powerful) than a laptop simply because the thermals and power limits of mobile devices are so restricted. Besides that, the use cases vary too much. The other issue (this is my use case) is 90+% of what I would do on this phone, is no different than I would do on a $200 phone, or is more than a $200 phone can do. Literally the only thing I'd like of the flagship phones is a camera, but I couldn't give two hoots for having the absolutely best screen, fastest processor, or a premium feel at $500+ or more (because "feel" rarely pans out in my experience).
