Reports of a stolen plane halt air travel at Seattle airport

as far as ways to take yourself out, this is one of the better ones
Not really, I feel bad for all of those airport workers that are going to have to deal with more scrutiny and bullshit security from these ~experts~ to do their job.
Glad no one on the ground got hurt. Throws the question how this can happen, if you can be allowed to taxi an aircraft there should be a security system restricting you from romping that thing up full throttle into the air.
The sky was blue, but he saw no God.
there is a deep hurt in a lot of guys these days, and this shows it better than anything else could have.

this thread is important
Why the hell is he bringing up race in this? Is this guy seriously implying that non-whites can't experience true ennui the way the white men do?
Or is this some kind of elaborate satire, since he brought up that the Japanese have a similar experience, yet only a couple tweets later he doubled down that non-whites by-and-large can't empathize with depression? Also his bio says he's Chinese but he considers himself as a white man so ???
it is more race from a cultural lense than a strict biological one. if someone non-white grew up in the exact same conditions that rich did, they would have done the same thing, but the chances are due to cultural factors that that wouldn't come to happen.
Sorry but that reads like someone got a bit too high off the smell of their own farts.
R.I.P. sky king
Its someone who really wants to look more aware and brighter than they are. Gotta stay woke or whatever.

Cya later, Skyking. You were a wild horse in an overly civilized world.
im flying off to seatac in september, hope this doesn't make their security too intense.
Hes just using his death to promote his anti-capitalistic agenda. I expected some legit insight into why Rich did it but it just sounds like half-complete ramblings.
His entire story really connects with me. His blog, his adventures. The way he talks to the controller. I think he is really a sign of our times. Talented young men throwing their lives away should be concerning.

I find the whole situation so breathtakingly sad. It was incredibly tough to listen to the whole ATC recording. His conversation with the controllers was probably the closest he got to therapy, which he so desperately needed.
I would hope Rich's story resonates with enough people to make a difference, but I fear it will get lost in news cycles and he will be forgotten.
I know the man died but why can't I help but feel this was in some small part, a happy ending.
He wasn't happy with the world or his life, he took a marvelous opportunity, was friendly and courteous throughout and in the end never hurt another soul.
The man deserves respect for what he did, property damage be damned.
