Although the law has been passed, but the enforcement of such laws that benefits big business will typically only be enforced while those companies are eyeing the potential of retro games as revenue sources. With the current hype of 'retro' style and boom of retro game popularities, the companies are tryiing to corner it seeing the money making potential. Once they realize that people won't pay premium prices for old games, their interest on such product issure to go down, and with them, the enforcement. Its just a matter of time before such rom sites spring upnback to life, once the coast is clear.
Or you know, copyright holders could decide to release a service that is both profitable and enjoyable for customers. But ahahaha who am I kidding, let's charge $5 for a single rom
Man they're just dropping like flies now. Pleasuredome is still around but they "refuse to become the next candy store" and might end up removing everything that's not MAME.
