The only real version of the flag, everything else is fake and not worthy of representing >ME< https://i.imgur.com/T3n0KIf.png
None of the stripes should mean anything at all
Here's an article about it from last year. Creating the flag was just one of the steps they took to address racism in gayborhoods. Outside of that, yeah, the flag looks like it puts two races over everything else. Also, it was designed without consulting Gilbert Baker, who died a few months before, so that didn't help the flag's case.
They say what they mean, but I have 0 understanding of how these are LGBT concepts or even could be.
Ultimately the idea is none of them really do, they're just about diversity as a whole.
I really feel like this thread should have been more about the worrying rise in antisemitism rather than about how many colours should be on flags and how many letters should be in acronyms. Also the fact that the story was largely rated funny doesn't feel fantastic
I'm not that distant from Burnaby and I keep finding Stormfront stickers on telephone poles. Since I've started removing them, whoever the cunt putting them up has started putting razor blades in them in hopes of cutting my fingers when I go to rip them off. Downtown we have a rainbow crosswalk intersection as well, and it's been there for years. If someone defaced it like this I'd be pissed.
I think it's fairly clear at this point that the flag has taken on a life, and a meaning, of its own that no longer correlates to the original.
