• Kalashnikov takes on Tesla with retro-look electric 'supercar'

To be fair, 50mph is a lot of fuckin' wind. The fact that it's a one-off incident from 30 years ago means you shouldn't worry too much about them. As for excessive power in lightweight frames, crazier shit has happened. Just look at how many backyard mechanics keep swapping monstrous powerplants into tiny old shitboxes and drive them with lead feet and no catastrophic failures. If a sub-700kg Fiat 850 can take a Ferrari V8, an electric Superlada can be built with no issues.
im afraid of buying a Kalashnikov since it'll probably turn into a Simon Stalenhag painting
Just wait for a rebadged version identical in everything but the name, to go right under the RCMP's noses cause they're tards.
If only it were that easy. "The Kalashnikov motor vehicle, and any variant or modified version of it..." I mean, they've been shit at catching variants of other things, but AK variants they seem rather good at not allowing in.
Reminds me of this https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/900/1*4TT0J88mdnvuy620DW1UpA.jpeg
I thought a couple Chinese and Finn variants had exceptions, but surely you know better than me about it. Ah well, just wait for the Czech one. Slightly different internals but does the same job and keeps the Slav aesthetics and smell.
That's just part of the retro look
3 Finnish variants have exceptions. The Chinese gun that looks like one that got in is actually more or less an SKS.
The pastel blue makes it, it's the colour you see flaking off municipal swimming pools in Pripyat.
Kalashnikov has been pushing the same 80 year old design for the past 80 years. The only time theyve branched out is to put a 700 year old drink into a bottle thats the shape of their 80 year old rifle. You saw "kalashnikov" and thought "woh futuristic"?
I'd get it if it came as a rusted down shitbox, i'm not going to pay for the privilege of doing it myself.
Hey did you seriously expect Meral Gear Rex right on the first try?
Looks better than BMW i3
We need more retro future Soviet goods, don't deny the world of the robo-stalin aesthetic.
The original car for reference: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/198190/2d350821-ce58-44cd-a0ba-ae2752fd0bef/maxresdefault.jpg Definitely not the same car with different grille. Nyet, comrade. Although I'd buy one for shits and giggles.
Uhhh,Traants are German. I think you mean Lada.
Isn't that what the spirit of kalashnikov and the soviet dream is?
That's like saying "wow it's faster than a two-ton solid block of granite"
Hujna
Does it play electro hard bass?
"Eastern European shitbox" is basically a category of car at this point. There's Trabants, Yugos, Skodas, Ladas, Volgas, the list goes on.
Yeah I know,they're similar,I'm just sayin'
Sad news guys, they don't make this one anymore.. Born too late to buy a brand new wheeled lada, born too early to buy a flying one.
The originals were made by people less skilled than garage enthusiasts who were paid with moldy bread and ration tickets. I dont get why people are butthurt that a state owned, formally or otherwise, manufacturer is producing a car that looks like garbage. Of course it looks like shit, its a 50 year old people's car design. Did you think they would go all out and give it something extravagant, like safety features?
I didn't expect anything, for them to make the thing they did is just a joke really.
Life imitates art
they literally used a 70s concept and modded eh
