Same reason there were "no" gay people in the early 1900s. They were already there, they just feel comfortable being themselves now.
that or it's the deep state putting chemicals into the water
The same thing that makes cancer and autism rates skyrocket despite the same amount of people actually having those things. We get better at accurately diagnosing it.
lmao Brown took down the news article. Visiting the link takes you to a page saying it's unpublished, and the Brown University news page doesn't have it listed anymore.
the liberals destroy science they dont agree with again smh
I went to r/The_Donald and /pol/ to surveyed them and they all said this is true
therefore it's true

I mean. It doesn't take a r/Dotard poster to realize that there definitely is a vocal minority that immediately starts screeching at the notion of asking critical questions and immediately starts dismissing it as repetitive or deliberately obtuse.. along with the usual threat of doxxing and all that.

I guess the removal is making the news now. Included is a quote from another researcher who was looking into de-transitioning, but was rejected on "methodological, not ideological grounds."
dawg this is why we have peer review: maybe if you just did some Good Science instead of selectively choosing sources that corroborate your biases your study would pass peer review
The deeper issue is that everyone is defunding science at a national level across the board, and thus the peer review and replication process which aren't nearly as sexy, are getting 0 attention.
We have a gluttony of papers and research with crap metholodgy, dodgy bullshit and disjointed biases left unchecked making it through and then being cited in even more dodgy papers. We need a return of healthy science skepticism and a return of 'PROVE IT HUNDREDS OF TIMES'.
