Game Developer Brianna Wu's Very Long Shot For Congress

I feel bad for Voehl. Imagine getting less votes than Brianna Wu.
I mean. She just tweeted about her first donation in a way that tells me that she's now found a more willing cashcow than insecure video-game lovers who under no circumstances would ever never be actual gamers who likes gaming.
Women, huh? *nudge* *nudge*
I'm tired of hearing this whole "SJWs aren't real gamers" thing. It's a weirdly false thing to claim. Plenty of them play video games. You can say stuff like "SJWs don't buy comics" all you want because comics are a very niche thing nowadays and it's entirely valid to think most people arguing about politics in comics don't actually buy comics (including SJWs and the alt-right) but a huge, huge proportion of millennials play video games and there's really no reason SJWs wouldn't, especially since so many of them nerd out over video game characters in the first place.
He's an Air Force veteran whose top goals were better access to healthcare and getting the US out of the middle east. Almost four times as many people voted for Brianna Wu.
People in this thread keep making the mistake of saying that Brianna Wu is trans, when she actually isn't. At least, she vehemently denies she is. So, yeah.
Wait Brianna Wu denies being trans now? What the actual fuck?
Receipts.
Well I wasn't wrong in her denying she's trans, but there is certainly an extensive amount of evidence suggesting she is.
bruh I know that Wu says she isn't trans (and it's a large reason why some trans people hate her), but at this point her life has been dug through pretty damn well. In fact, I'm surprised she didn't try to hop to politics earlier. Her family is politically connected (on the repub side iirc), and she worked for a (repub) politician during one of their many stints in between college.
That's not what i was saying though. I was talking about their hypocrisy about "gamers don't have to be your audience" while being gamers themselves. This insane attempt at writing off all gamers as alt-righters and then trying to redefine their own relation to gaming culture was the cringiest and most trashy shit i've ever seen in my life. Their whole attempt at "totally not being gamers because gamers are all misogynist" while "totally loving video-games" and the underlying culture like cons and pundittery.
SJW's are gamers and they're gonna have to learn to deal with that and stop trying to make me some cartoon fucking villain.
I think part of it is also how you define real gamers.
Generally, "SJWs" (read: people writing shitty articles focusing on perceived sexism that is most likely mischaracterized in an attempt to get clicks) rally on issues in more 'hardcore' games that they themselves most likely do not play, like first person shooters, RPGs, action adventure, fighting, etc, which male gamers generally consider "real games" due to higher skill requirements, high conflict, and requirement of time investment. The coverage of these games by "SJWs" is generally biased and misleading, and by this you can determine they have no experience with the games or genres through falsehoods or characterizations in the hit pieces. Look at any controversy involving Bayonetta, Hitman, Octopath Traveler, etc. Articles generally leave out any context or nuance and jump straight to misogyny. If the writers had bothered to play the game they wouldn't be portraying it in such a light unless they have an ulterior motive.
Compared to male "hardcore gamers", casual gamers tend to play match 3, family/farm sims, and casual puzzle games, which aren't considered "real games" by most men and are never the target of hit pieces because frankly they don't have narratives or violence and are quite simple. The games that are frequently decried as misogynist or sexist are generally played by male gamers. So, when "SJWs" rag on these kinds of games that they themselves do not play, the argument seems somewhat disingenuous (especially if the people writing the piece parrot falsehoods or leave out vital context), and they are preaching to an audience that generally has no interest in these games to begin with and are denouncing an audience that has great interest in these games.

Did not take long for her to intentionally "slip up". I just think she counted on it "leaking" before voting so she could spin it. Poor lass...
This is uhhh, sort of llegal
realtalk how to you spend 71 bucks on mall chinese food.
Spent more on Facebook ads than paying one of her campaign workers.
Fucking hell.

She's just as toxic as ever.
Today I learned only women can be SJWs

Fuck I thought it was werewolf this entire time

Wario
*Waluigi
Well they sure ain't men
To back up a bit:
These studies are to do with female gamers and you're automatically these very specific statistics with a very broad and nebulous group of people who have been internet boogeymon for like the last decade at least. If gamergate is supposed to be about ethics in video game journalism and not hating women this uh looks pretty bad!
I think this is laughably easy to disprove
