• Elon Musk triples down on paedophilia accusation against British rescue diver

A lot of your posts make you come off as a bad combination of being extremely under-informed and cynical.
Model 3 is now the 5th best selling passenger car in the US. Tesla expect to sell a compact car for $25,000 in 5 years.
I don't know, Musky boy and his baseless libels remind me more of the Wall Street Journal than fp does
On calling someone a paedophile for no reason?
Who would've thought that a bunch of kids getting stuck in a cave would lead to the downfall of Elon Musk?
did you fuck up at spelling sjw or are you accusing us of being a magazine?

This is essentialy a billionaire dickhead saying "I can do whatever I want to anyone, I have so much money that lawsuits don't scare me" and it's disgusting
Wait for it to turn out true and the have the Tesla stocks soar like crazy
ur a pedophile
go home Elon, ur drunk.

Wall Street Journal = WSJ
Welcome to the most fucked up version of My Little Pony
That $35k number is super misleading because the US MSRP is $49k to start before any taxes or fees. That's luxury car money. Depending on where you live you might be able to bring net cost down to $35k through tax breaks and subsidy, but that's still no small sum. If enough time and new car sales go by that they start flooding the used market for $5-10k, they will become a practical choice for a lot more people. Assuming they still 'run' and drive and are road legal at that point. Given ol' muskys hate boner for Right-to-Repair, the longevity of these cars post-warranty is in serious question. You can't get parts for the fucking things. Yeah you've got guys like Rich Rebuilds, but what he goes through to restore these things is not practical.
dude check your ego
Unless I'm mistaken, the $49k is for the sports version, which is the only one that they've released for pre-order at the moment since their production hasn't scaled enough to actually produce cheaper cars with higher demand. I think that making repairs difficult is stupid, but surely you can get it repaired at the dealer as you can with any other vehicle, right?
They have only released the long range version with the premium upgrades. They are focusing on the high end AWD performance version currently to achieve profitability. The $35k version will come early next year.
I got the $49k number from the Tesla website, which is for the base 2WD model. The AWD step-up is about $55k and the sporty model is more. On dealer repairs, the problem then becomes part and labor costs. Once the warranty is up it's all on you, and these are no Toyota Corollas. Excluding consumables (tires, brakes) you cannot get parts for these cars, Tesla refuses to sell them to DIYers or shops. Warranty or not you have to get replacement parts and service through tesla, and pay tesla service centers to install them. There is little to no aftermarket for them and Musk is happy to keep it that way.
It wouldn't surprise me considering how batshit insane our world has become
I highly doubt that.
Remember when we had a rating for something like this? Sure would come in handy right about now.
I don't think the repair issue is coming from Musk. He's publicly advocated for the right to repair before. I think it's a policy coming from elsewhere in Tesla from someone hoping to avoid bad press faulty repairs might cause. The previous service manager earlier in the year said they had something in the works for DIY people to, so it's coming eventually. That $49k figure includes the long range battery and premium interior upgrades.
why does elon know this weirdly specific information about pedophilia in thailand, and why does it make him so sure that the guy participated in it?
Musk has publicly advocated on numerous things and then retracted them later. I would not be surprised if his ego inflates enough that he'll eventually start attacking Right to Repair.
Semi-common knowledge or assumption. I've heard that stuff too, but I don't know how real it is.
Yeah I know, the subtext of what I was saying is that Tesla and SpaceX are more driven by being cool and flashy than actually being a sustainable force for good.
That's not true, though. Tesla and SpaceX are both market drivers whose value extends past their own business. Their greatest contribution is creating demand within their respective markets for things would've been decades away without them.
