Altered Halo 5 box-art sparks PC announcement rumor

Any other additions?
Halo:CE and Halo 2 made toolchains avail.
And no, I highly doubt the specialized light baking and other conversion will be figured out. We might get a very rudimentary importer that gets untextured unlit maps, but that's probably it, you can do that with custom forge in Eldewrito anyway.
It's well known the lobby system for MCC sucks, just give people Halo 3 like they anyways wanted. No need to sweeten the deal with outsourced texture-packs for decade old games.
It probably won't be very difficult to port over Halo CE maps.
No
you mean the one that was patched a week ago?
Have you played it in the last 2 weeks? They just overhauled the entire game.
I got rid of my Xbone after playing though Halo 3 MCC just once. So I wouldn't know the current state, especially after years of neglect.
Howsabout they just give consumers what already sold fantastic when it first came out?
Halo 3. Without the bloat.
And that was over 10 years ago, and neither game wasn't owned by Microsoft at the time.
You have to be trolling
It looks to be the MCC version of the Halo 3 engine since it has an icon of the Halo 4 Master Chief in the error reporting tool featured in the ms23 release.
ODST was running on the Halo 3 engine, no mods at all. Firefight even loaded the respective campaign maps but with different scripting.
I'm not saying chances are high.
Infact, if they do port MCC to PC, then it'll probably be only available on the MS store, as a UWP program (so RIP modding) . With no toolchain, and forced use of whatever lobby system MS uses for its crossplay.
It's better than nothing, but just slightly - at least I can play Coop Halo 3 legendary with my friends that haven't played it before, shame they won't get to experience the game like everyone else did on launch day, Bungie's knack for presentation was unrivaled.
I can't believe I'm reading someone that's calling 3 games bloat and whining about fucking MENUS
Oh no people have OPINIONS!
Wasn't it a big deal when MCC allowed people to NOT download the games they didn't want from it?
We know for a fact that actual real Halo 3 content ports, for example the weapon mods that convert the H4 style weapons to the real H3 ones.
Your opinion is truly awful to a point of nonbelief if you can call Halo 1/2 "bloat" in favor of "better" menus on Halo 3
Interesting.
Halo 5 PC modding is already a thing, as is Forza PC modding
I decided to look up Halo Reach and it turns out they said something about a possibility of adding it to MCC in the future?

MCC Update | Halo
Their blog acts as if the 73 gb patch isn't even the end
LOOKING AHEAD
This first update is a huge milestone that dramatically improves and enhances MCC – but the team isn’t planning to stop. An oft-requested feature, a Custom Game Browser, is on the agenda as are a variety of additional quality of life improvements and additional fixes (based on both current known issues and new issues that arise after this update is out in the wild). We’ll be monitoring game data and feedback regularly so please let us know what you think!
And yes, when it comes to future features, the team is definitely aware that many, many players are very eager to see Halo: Reach added – we don’t have anything to announce or commit to right now, but it’s on the long list of things the team is constantly evaluating and thinking about for possible future updates.
Whether you're a returning player or jumping in for the first time, we hope you enjoy your time with the updated and improved Master Chief Collection and look forward to hearing your feedback and playing together online. And please help us spread the word, MCC is now avaialble with Xbox Game Pass which makes an incredible amount of Halo content and experiences more accessible than ever before!
They did but it just isn't the same. That's most for people who still own the 360 version.
If MCC isn't even done patching while this possible Halo 5 PC news comes forward I'm VERY optimistic for a port announcement
Their original reasoning for not Reach was because it wasn't a 'Master Chief' game.
ODST was just done as a 'we're sorry' gift or something.
Yeah, Reach would and did require more work than ODST. Once Reach gets added to MCC, assuming it's ported we'll have more Halo games on PC than Xbox One, surprisingly.
Since we don't even know if the PC is real just yet, the Reach talk on the blog is for Xbone right now. Just dreamscoping because the timing and Amazon UK change for the box art is suspect
Yes, but if Reach becomes part of MCC it'll get ported at the same time as the rest of the MCC for PC. 343 has said similar things about MCC and PC to what they've said about MCC and Reach. It's coming eventually.
When you say more Halo games on PC than on Xbox One are you including those very forgettable top down spinoffs, that might be what confused me
you had to add it as a DLC, IDK if they still give it out for free but they did at one point for people who bought the collection when it was a buggy mess on launch.
They're on the Windows Store
All things considered, I wouldn't hold my breath.
pplease don't attack mme
I was excited for MCC when my brother let me borrow his xbone but then I realized I have a tough time enjoying shooters without KBM, and the adapter to make such a thing possible is like $100. Holding out for a PC port.
If the massive update really does fix up all the issues that MCC had, then sign me the fuck up for a PC port.
Just keep in mind, shit is gonna launch on the Windows Store first, meaning no modding out of the gate and you'll have to be on Win 10. Modding will come if they pull their usual strategy and eventually release it on Steam as well, but given it's Halo, and Halo is a MASSIVE IP, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't put it on Steam at all.
